La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Manchester / Arnold AFB

This is a fairly new hotel, very clean spacious and comfortable. We stayed here 2 yrs. ago when it opened and not much changed. The bed was comfortable and the room was nice and quiet. There is an indoor pool that looked well maintained and the breakfast was great. This hotel is a very good value.

Hotel lobby and room were modern, clean and comfortable, adequate hot breakfast, could have been a 5 star stay. However, the LQ website pet policy states "Non-refundable 25 USD nightly for up to 2 pets." The form the hotel uses states $25 per pet. When I showed the clerk the online policy, she said, "Oh, that must be corporate policy, not ours." This takes advantage of guests who have traveled all day and are ready to relax and unwind. I will elevate this to the Wyndham group and revise my review if they either correct the false advertising online, or requires this hotel to abide by the corporate policy.

Everything SEEMED fine, as it's a brand new nice hotel from the outside. Half the ground floor being closed for repairs, and the one elevator's service entrance not working already should have been a warning... We're a simple family, that needed a simple, comfortable and clean room to quickly hit the sheets after a long day on the road. My parents quickly did so after dinner, for me, it included sitting in a necessary hot shower as I'm fully disabled w/back problems. I did so half-awake and went to bed... Woke up to realize, looking at the side of said tub, that I had been sitting/showering in filth. I was understandably disgusted, and informed the front desk... Mr. Mitsul decided to immediately blame said reddish/brown staining, on the tub WALL, on myself, who only used white Dove soap the evening prior; stating, "well, it looks like someone already showered in there" So, he ALSO DIDN'T EVEN LISTEN TO MY COMPLAINT... But as I informed Mr. Mitsul while walking away as he wished to argue, the American Disability Act certainly will.... I tried to handle this peacefully, even to not involve my parents as it would only upset them... Mr. Mitsul, your customer service completely screwed That opportunity up for your business, and apparently I'm not the only one in the incredibly short time you have been open. (Also refused to give me his hotel's location number...) Note to Business (after reading other reviews): Any negative actions taken as a result of my complaint/review WILL be considered And reported to the ADA as direct retaliation in addition to the initial complaint.

My stay could’ve been better if Jennifer was more nice and pleasant! Upon arrival she sat my room keys down on the desk ,which i think is extremely rude but,ok I let that slide,I go up to my room and the room wasn’t cleaned ,the bathroom had hair all over the shower,the floor had trash debris all over it,I told my husband and daughter we are not staying in here,I proceed to go back to the desk,I tell Jennifer about the issues,she replied “the contractors must left that as the was building “ she didn’t give an apology,did not emphasize with me at all,she gave me another room,we go to the new room,it wasn’t clean either,the bathroom had hair in the shower,I wish I would’ve took pictures but we was so tired,I just made it work,the air wouldn’t come on,my husband got it working FINALLY because I didn’t want to move again,we sanitized the room,we leave to meet with family,we return and I asked for extra towels, she asked me how many,I asked for four,this lady JENNIFER says,”it’s four in the room,I’ll give you two,I’m like what?????? It was actually 4 big towels in the room and two wash clothes,I just got the two wash clothes and walk away before I said something not so nice to this RUDE lady!!!! I guess in her eyes we’re supposed to wash our face and body with the same towel,no ma’am!!!!!We change face/body wash clothes daily (sorry you don’t maybe) The following day my husband asked for wash clothes,(AGAIN)she says to my husband (JENNIFER) “Y’all didn’t get housekeeping “?My husband says no we didn’t,in my eyes what does it matter?! She proceeded to tell him that she only had four wash clothes left,which isn’t our problem,go wash some or do whatever you have to do because we needed wash clothes!!!!! I didn’t like her not so welcoming energy or sarcasm at all!!!!!! Everyone isn’t hospitality friendly,nor knows the proper was of providing great customer service but my family and I probably won’t stay at this property again due too not being clean and Jennifer rudeness!!! Retrain her!!!!

Manchester TN. When I checked in, helpful front desk asked for and applied AARP discount to my king room, $116 base rate; I would get receipt in morning. Pet was $25 extra, payable that night. At checkout, the base rate was $134 (which was what I saw online before checking in), for total of $156. When I asked, gentleman said $156 was base rate, and $134 was AARP rate. Really? You advertise an AARP rate for everyone? I think there is some mischief going on, where your discount is wiped away morning of checkout, and they count on you being too harried and hurried to notice. Not the LA Quinta brand I know.

Buyer beware – looks can be deceiving We booked this La Quinta in Manchester Tennessee for two stays – one on our way to our destination and one on our way back. When we walked into this La Quinta it was immediately apparent it is new – 10 months old in fact according to the gentleman at the front desk. The lobby, lounge and dining area are fresh and impressively decorated. Those first few steps led us to believe we were walking into nirvana but we quickly realized things were not as they seemed. It started at the front desk when we were informed their system was down. I have been in enough hotels of late to know this is not rare an occurrence. I had my confirmation on my phone and they wrote it down along with the room number and told me I could sign any documents in the morning on our way out. We had had a long day – 12 hours in the car in fact and after a quick dinner all we wanted to do was feed our two dogs, take a shower and turn in for the night. When my counterpart took the dogs for their nightly potty break, the front desk let him know the system was back up but assured him the paperwork would hold until the morning. My dream of a hot shower was dashed when we found the temperature barely registered above tepid. Rather than complain we went to sleep. At 10:30 I was wakened by the phone with the front desk insisting I had to come down and sign the paperwork. To say I wasn’t happy was a mild understatement. I was less happy when I went down and discovered the all-important paperwork was the identification of my car and the pet agreement. To their credit, they had honored my request for a first floor so there was that singular positive note. The fact that I had to hold onto the bed to keep from sliding off the sloped mattress erased most good feelings I had. The next morning, when I checked out, I complained about the hot water and was told the first floor had not been used in a while since they had needed to repair “something”. On our return visit 3 days later their system was operating, a definite plus but we were told the first-floor rooms were all “blocked”. There were 3 cars in the parking lot. We were given a second-floor room instead and as we got to the elevator found one of the two elevators was out of order. Remember this is a 10-month-old hotel. Interestingly enough we found the two queen beds most of been from a royal family that was low on the food chain since they were the smallest “queen” beds we had ever encountered; any other hotel would have called them doubles and been correct to do so. This shower was also barely warm so they have obviously gated down the temperature of the hot water, regardless of what the front desk has to say. My significant other found the inside shower curtain streaked with fecal matter; he cleaned it and luckily, he didn’t tell me about it until after we left knowing I would have been as revolted as he was. Since I do like to note positives, the gym here has to be the most fully stocked hot
