We’re currently still at the hotel, but unfortunately, the experience so far has been very disappointing. I’d struggle to call this a 5-star resort — realistically, it feels more like a 3-star at best. On our first morning, we were woken at 8:30am by a call reminding us of an 11:30am meeting we were already informed about. Not exactly the welcome we were hoping for. The food is one of the weakest points. Breakfast is basic with limited options — not great, but not unexpected for a hotel. Lunch is slightly better at the beach bar, although the menu never changes. Dinner has been consistently poor. There is a grill section at the back of the main restaurant, but quality varies. We tried the à la carte Italian restaurant and were very disappointed. Starters were already laid out on the table and left sitting out — they were warm and unappetising. The steak was so overcooked it was inedible, and we were told that it was just "well done." The cutlery was dirty, and when we requested clean replacements, the waiter responded rudely and dropped them on the table with attitude. The general appearance of the staff is unprofessional — uniforms are often grubby. One particular incident really disturbed us: a bartender at the pool bar was making inappropriate gestures (like blowing kisses) toward very young girls, which was extremely uncomfortable to witness. Rooms appear okay at first glance, but a closer look reveals issues such as grime in the showers and peeling wallpaper. Outside the restaurant there’s a very noticeable urine smell, which is unpleasant. Entertainment is very underwhelming. There are lots of small children running around until quite late at night (sometimes as late as midnight). Every morning at 10am, there's a loud cockerel sound coming from a nearby hotel — not ideal for a peaceful stay. The spa was a pleasant surprise — we had a lovely hamam treatment. The on-site beauty/hair salon was also good; we had hair braiding and wash/blow-drys done well. The beach is about a 5-minute walk away, so you don’t need to rely on the buggy service. This resort is far from 5-star standards. It has some redeeming features, but overall, the food, cleanliness, staff professionalism, and general experience fall well short of expectations. If you do plan to stay here, be prepared to claim your sunbeds early — many guests reserve them and never use them.
