My wife and I stayed at Whatley Manor Hotel & Spa on Sunday 2nd February. This was our first ever stay after wanting to do it for a long time. Finally we did it. And what a fantastic experience we had! The entire stay was exquisite from start to finish. We dropped our luggage early at reception and checked in with the lovely Rowan. As we knew our room wouldn't be ready just yet we headed to the spa and had a bite to eat in the spa lounge. The spa facilities were second to none; relaxing in the outdoor pool area with the sun on our faces was particularly enjoyable! My wife surprised me with treatments booked in a couples room. As someone who has never had a hot stone massage before, I have to stay it was hands down the best treatment I have ever experienced. Our therapists, Jayne and Emily, were professional, friendly and extremely talented. Jayne gave me an exceptional massage and I know for a fact that my wife felt the same way about her treatment with Emily. After relaxing for a little while afterwards on the heated beds in the tepidarium, we headed back to the hotel. We were shown to our room by the lovely Lucy, who explained everything perfectly. We were blown away by our room; large, well decorated and great views overlooking both the gardens and courtyard. After relaxing in our room we headed to the hotel lounge for cocktails before dinner. We opted for The Dining Room experience, with matching wine flight. We were presented with TWELVE (!) dishes, all of which exceeded our expectations. Throughout the evening the staff were attentive, professional and knowledgeable, particularly the wonderful Telmo and Connor, both catering to our every need and explaining every course and wine pairing in such great detail. Both the standard of the food and wine choices were excellent. The standout dish for myself was the caviar and beef tartare, served in the kitchen. My wife particularly enjoyed the plum dessert. Back to our room for a perfect nights sleep, no noise or disturbance whatsoever. We finished our experience off with a delicious, locally sourced, breakfast served to us in our room the next morning. All in all, the perfect stay. We honestly couldn't have wished for more. Thank you Team Whatley for providing us with such an unforgettable experience. We cannot wait to return.

We had the most special stay at Whatley Manor. The weather was poor during our stay but the hotel was super cosy inside and the decor had lovely warmth to it. The service was second to none, it was my partners birthday and she was made to feel very special throughout our stay. Highly recommend the dining room and having a course in the kitchen. It’s not cheap but definitely worth it.

Wonderful hotel, every detail taken care of. We were upgraded to a gorgeous suite and everything about it was super-comfortable and luxurious which made the whole weekend very special. We had lovely breakfasts and dinners. Breakfast has a small cold buffet area but staff were accommodating to bring for example cherry tomatoes and you can order hot food which was delicious. Good coffee! We also had dinner on our first night in the main restaurant which I preferred over the second night when we went to the 1* Michelin dining experience the following night. The Michelin restaurant is pared down decor and although the food was creative, served beautifully and delicious, I just prefer a more casual dining experience but that's just my personal taste. There's a gorgeous lounge with open log fire and we also had a delicious lunch of soup and sandwich here on Saturday. The lounge is a lovely cosy place to sit and read and chill. We also did a mat Pilates class on Friday and it was great! The spa massage was fantastic too. Highly recommend a visit (as a treat because it's not cheap but for the weekend getaway we wanted it was perfect).

Afternoon Tea (with sparkling wine) as a Birthday gift from friends. Faultless professional service from all staff that also managed to be friendly and welcoming. The Tea was excellent, the hotel wonderful and a short walk around the exquisite gardens a real treat. We left totally relaxed and would certainly recommend a visit to anyone.
