We normally spend a few days at Port Fairy when we can get away. This time we decided on some were different and decided on Mallacoota. We found Gowings on the internet. What a fantastic place to stay. We got the one bedroom unit. There is absolutely nothing that you will need that is not in the unit. It had everything. Plenty of room, storage places, comfortable bed, good lighting, shower was fantastic, big fridge and washing machine. We loved the place. And...importantly the place was Spotlessly clean. We received a very warm welcome, and sharing of local knowledge by Jenny was really appreciated. Close to the shops and a five minute walk to the hotel for meals. Very quiet units, and for us, being there in an off peak period was the way to go. We will be coming here again, and I cannot recommend it more highly.

We stayed in Unit 2, which has superb views of the lake. Gowings is a brief walk to the Hotel, the bakery, restaurants and the two supermarkets - unlike a lot of the holiday units which would involve quite a drive. A very well set up and maintained unit. Very usable balcony.

Place was very clean and neat ,had everything you need ,in a great spot and the manager was lovely and really friendly ,and we got to see miniature crayfish so cute ,because there were environmental scientists staying at the same time

Stayed for three weeks at Gowings and found Jen a marvellous host. The apartments are well serviced and have everything you need for a great holiday. Nothing was every a problem for our host Jen. Gowings is very close to Bakery, Ice Cream shop, all coffee shops, post office, supermarkets and restaurants. The Mallacoota Hotel is only 100 metres away. The grounds are beautifully landscaped with plenty of lawn area, a double BBQ area backs onto the pool and lawns. The pool is large and very clean. All in all we couldn’t fault this accommodation.
