Great family hotel run by two amazing brothers Nicos and Marcos. These guys really make you welcome and my wife and i could not have been happier with our 14 night stay. Nothing was no much trouble for these guys if you needed anything they would get it, car hire, they arrranged a great deal for us. needed to know where to visit no issues they knew everywhere. Their favourite catchphrase was NO STRESS and they certainly made sure our stay was stress free. The Hotel was lovely the rooms had everything needed and the beds and pillows were surprisingly comfortable. The air con was well needed and worked perfectly and they done us a good price for the 2 weeks. All the staff at the hotel were so friendly and the lovely lady who cleaned our rooms was excellent and our rooms were super clean and well maintained. The food was pretty good as well, the breakfast was as good as you could get outside of the UK. The pool was amazing and Nicos and Marcos are understandably very pround of it and are always making sure it's in tip top condition, good job guys. The hotel is situated nicely out of the hustle and bustle of Malia town but only a ten minute walk away which was a lovely stroll every night. There are so many nice restaurats and bars and taverna's in and around Malia and we had a fantastic holiday and will definatelly be going back.

We are just back from a 2 week stay here and I can honestly say we have never had a holiday like it before. From the minute we checked in at 12.30am, we were treated like old friends by Makis and Nikos. The hotel itself is lovely, rooms are kept spotless by the lovely Maria, there are always sunbeds available at the pool and the food is delicious. If you book here be prepared to fall in love with the cocktails. Nikos is a master at making them, a craft that he takes seriously! It’s about a 5 minute walk from the main strip but far enough away not to be bothered by the noise. We went as a family of 4, our daughters are 13 and 20 years old and they said it’s the best holiday they have had. Needless to say we have booked already for next year with our oldest daughter and her partner aswell. A special mention to mamma who absolutely won my heart ❤️. See you next year guys!

Just spent a week at Danelis, what a fantastic little find! The pool area is so relaxed, always sun beds available. The food is outstanding (I’m a chef) absolutely delicious! The customer care from the whole family whom run this together are an absolute delight. Nothing is too much trouble. Rooms are kept immaculately clean by the lovely Maria 🫶 I will definitely be returning 🇬🇷

Absolutely brilliant hotel from start to finish they was welcoming and friendly couldn't do enough.The food was amazing my other half was obsessed with the carbonara to be fair tho I tasted and was really good.room was everything we needed basic but clean and had all you need for self catering would highly recommend if going to Malia brilliant job danelis you did really good and made are holiday thank you.

My daughter and I have just returned from our stay at Danelis. This is a fantastic small family run hotel and I can't praise it enough. Everyone is so friendly and nothing is too much trouble. The rooms are spotlessly clean and the communal areas are well kept. The owners have a smile and chat for everyone from the day you arrive to the day you leave. I would highly recommend this hotel and will definitely book to stay here again if we return to Crete.

A family run set of apartments, in a very central location for exploring the east of the North coast. Nikos and Makis were always cheerful and the food mama made was delicious and served quickly. There were lots of cafes and restaurants within walking distance. The pool area is lovely and we enjoyed the pool table and lovely cocktails( expect UK prices though) A few less welcome things though - the music played by the pool was loud and continued all day so our ‘quiet’ holiday - we chose this place because that’s how it was described online - was anything but and we chose to stay out all day rather than sit and listen to it. I don’t mind a bit of music near the bar maybe or where people were eating but personally prefer my time sunbathing to be quiet and peaceful. Self catering facilities were basic - two small rings and a fridge that had seen better days but I guess that’s the three stars. We were told the room would be cleaned each day. It isn’t - not a massive problem to us but might be for some. The bins were emptied twice and we got new towels once though I suspect you could have asked for more. You pay extra for safe, TV and aircon or heating and the balcony is in the shade - this might be a bonus in summer. Overall - basic room but nice pool area which would have been lovely if quiet.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel in Malia. The rooms were clean and comfortable, making it easy to relax. The owners were incredibly friendly and welcoming, adding a personal touch to the experience. The location is peaceful and quiet—perfect for unwinding—but still just a short, easy walk to both the beach and the charming old town, packed with fantastic restaurants. Plenty of sunbeds by the pool too. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a relaxing and convenient getaway!

Been here 7 days ,beautiful peaceful hotel ,This is family run (wow) the minute you arrive you are made so welcome .We have had a few cloudy days but the brothers keep you upbeat with their smiles .Rooms are basic but very clean and comfortable. Food is freshly made and fabulous 👌

This hotel gives the warmest welcome. The pool is amazing, with the addition of the poolside bar. Staffed by the friendliest people I've met here. This is the third time I've been to Crete and value this establishment highly. I always look forward to landing and making this one of our first stops.
