I am writing to express my profound disappointment with my recent stay at the Solimar ruby hotel. My experience was nothing short of appalling, starting with the staff's clear dislike for large groups of English guests. From the moment we arrived, we were met with hostility and prejudice, making us feel unwelcome and uncomfortable throughout our stay. It was evident that your staff were not prepared to accommodate or treat us with the basic respect every guest deserves. The condition of the rooms increased our dissatisfaction. The accommodation was outdated, poorly maintained, and far from clean. We encountered unclean bathrooms, stained linens, and a pervasive musty odor that made it difficult to feel at ease. the air conditioning in our room was a constant source of frustration. It rarely worked, and when it did, it was utterly useless and outdated, failing to provide any relief from the heat. To make matters worse, we discovered bed bugs in the room, which was absolutely unacceptable and severely impacted our ability to rest comfortably. This level of neglect in maintaining basic amenities and cleanliness is inexcusable for any hotel. It was incredibly disheartening to see such a lack of care and attention to detail in what should be a guest’s haven. Moreover, the constant imposition of additional charges for every minor amenity was extremely frustrating. Whether it was for using the Wi-Fi, accessing basic facilities, or even requesting extra towels, we were continuously nickel-and-dimed. This practice felt exploitative and significantly detracted from our overall experience, as we were unable to relax without worrying about hidden costs. The behavior of the staff was consistently rude and disrespectful, further diminishing our stay. Simple requests were met with curt responses, and it seemed as though the staff were more interested in enforcing arbitrary than ensuring guest satisfaction. The dining experience was equally abysmal, with food that was inedible and drinks that were clearly watered down. It was disappointing to have such low-quality offerings at a supposedly reputable establishment. The night manager at the hotel was consistently rude and unwelcoming to us throughout our stay. Every evening, without fail, we encountered his hostile demeanor and curt responses. Instead of providing assistance or creating a welcoming atmosphere, he made us feel like a burden, treating us with disdain and contributing significantly to our overall discomfort and dissatisfaction with the hotel. Lastly, the hotel's restrictive and unreasonable policies severely hindered our ability to enjoy our vacation. We were not allowed to play with a ball or jump in the pool, and any attempt to have a laugh after 11 PM was met with shouting and reprimands from the staff.
