Sumus Hotel Monteplaya & Spa 4Sup - Adults Only

Went as a family age range from 16-70yrs. Arrival end of July. Beautiful hotel, most staff very kind and smiley! Inside and out side of the hotel areas were spotless, although the outside pool could have done with a clean as floor was quite gritty on the feet. Outside pool also FREEZING cold so couldn’t spend much time in it. We paid the extra to use the indoor pool which again wasn’t very warm but better than the outside pool. The indoor pool was beautiful though super clean and water was SO clear! Food was ok, would be better if everything was labeled a little bit clearer, including the puddings. Rooms were nice, nothing special but clean and tidy. Unfortunately the beds were rock solid and felt like we were laying on the floor :( Not a huge amount to do outside the hotel, shops both left and right. The beach is the otherside of the train tracks with ample underpasses. But unfortunately the sand is super gritty and the sea quite rough it wasn’t very safe. Also watch out for mosquitoes! Unfortunately we will not be returning to the hotel or area due to personal preference.

Absolutely fantastic place, staff and facilities. Would definitely go again. Did not want to leave. Lovely staff, Toni is a delight and always had a smile, we had a laugh with him. Always made time for us. Julian also very helpful and always had a smile. We made him laugh with our singing and dancing in the bar. Restaurant staff are so friendly and accommodating. Namely Andres. He always made sure we had a table for 5. The lovely Elena greeting us in the restaurant, always had a smile and very friendly. Truly a holiday to remember. We will miss the staff very much. Had an absolutely amazing stay at this hotel. Me and my partner stayed for a week and we couldn't fault it at all! The rooms were clean, comfortable and well decorated. The rooms also had air conditioning which is a must, when it's really hot. The hotel is beautiful inside. The staff are really friendly and helped us out with any queries or questions we had. The pool area is amazing and the Jacuzzi, I didn't want to leave it. The hotel had a beautiful Zen Garden which was so relaxing to sit in and a lovely sunroof terrace. The spa was incredible, it was extra for the spa but worth every penny. The spa had a gorgeous pool, jacuzzi's, a plunge pool, a sauna, a steam room and rainforest showers. The spa was absolutely beautiful and worth the money as you got around 3 hours there. I highly recommend it to anyone. The food in the hotel was absolutely perfect, they had a great selection of cooked meals and everything you could think of. They also had a wonderful selection of desserts. I couldn't fault the food and looked forward to breakfast and dinner everyday. We stayed half board and it was worth it for what we paid. The lady in the restaurant on the desk is absolutely lovely, so shout out to her for offering amazing service. The hotel itself is in a good location with loads of shops, stalls, restaurants, bars around it and a beach a short walk away. The hotel is a 15 minute walk from the train station and from there it's very easy and accessible to take day trips to places. During our holiday we went to Tibidabo Mountain/theme park, we went to Barcelona City Centre, we went in La Sagrada Familia, to Las Ramblas, La Boqueria Market, The Gothic Quarter in Barcelona, We also did a day trip to Montserrat, all through catching the train, a 15 minute walk away from the hotel. We also went to Marineland Waterpark in Catalunya, which has a free bus that takes you from the back of the hotel at a bus stop. We also arranged an excursion through the hotel which was excellent called Beautiful Costs Brava and we got a day out at Tossa De Mar, which was beautiful, I highly recommend. We got to go on a glass bottom boat from there past some caves and coves, we then got taken to a beautiful beach called Cala Giverola beach and then we went from there to a Winery in Lloret De Mar. This trip was wonderful. I highly recommend staying here and we will definitely be coming back again. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

The hotel is excellent and has a great location. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Rooms are cleaned everyday and the rooms are comfortable. The restaurant is excellent and the food is fantastic and a great choice for every meal. Very pleased with this hotel and would be happy to return

Lovely 4 night break (mothers and daughters) good room, not particularly spacious. Breakfast was really good with lots of choice. Lots of different places to sit. Enjoyed sitting on the top terrace as it got sun all day (need to be early to reserve as not many sunbeds) staff very attentive and good bar service. Used the spa one morning when the weather wasn’t too good and it was amazing! Really really special place 16E each for 3 hours and we were lucky enough to have it to ourselves. Stayed bed and breakfast - plenty of restaurants around but not a huge variety (plenty of takeaways) hotel food in the bar and buffet was good. Lovely hotel, not too much around it. Did go for a day trip to Barcelona on the train which was good and easy from the local train.
