Hotel Sorra Daurada Splash

We had to wait 1h for a check in at 2am with a kid as the reception was so slow.Our friends had a completely dirty room and weren't offer swap over and swept on the floor in other friends room after a long day of trip. The room was specious enough but very dirty floor and smelly bathroom for the whole stay(odour from the sewage).Very poorly cleaned if any(never changed a bed shirts for a 10 days stay,never swiped a floor). The view from the balcony was great.The same food every single day(very boring) good variety of salads but defrosted and overcooked or not cooked fishes and meat with not flavour. Be aware or pay a local taxes(catalonia region-extra charge) Pay a deposit 20€ for each beach towels kettle etc..Great swimming pool and slides for a kids(only one warm enough)very slippy(my kid get injured few times)be careful or buy a special swimming shoes). Malgret the Mar very quiet non touristic place in comparisment to the other places as Blanes or Lloret the Mar.Plenty free parking spaces for a car to park.Not great places as a base for a exploring the Costa Brava.Evening entertainment nearly do not exist.Mini club for a kids it is a table and chairs in the corner of the big sending gaming machines. Incedibly Dirty swimming toilet(not cleaned over day) with usually no toilet paper. Bed in the room very soft with artificial hard pillows.Bed units broker and fixed with a nails. I scratched myself hadly as a veneer is coming of the the wood. Air con quiet.The farmacy 2 min away.The shops very close.Only water from the tap with a meal(full board)no even coffee or juice unless you are all inclusive(coffee only morning for a full board).3 stars hotel definitely not 4 stars. One foam party for a kids-great. Waterpark open to 5.30 PM Small shallow swimming pool open up to 9pm Breakfast open 8am to 10am.They asking about leaving at 10 Lunch 1pm-2.30pm dinner 7pm so a long time with no meal for a full boards.Not even coffee.

Location - excellent Pools/slides - excellent Lifeguards- is there something higher than excellent ? Food - good Bar staff - inconsistent Reception - poor Rooms - too small Cleaning - questionable Notes: your token/drink system good in principal but it and the towel rental on the room system. I’m down €40 because a child splashed my bag and I don’t have a copy of your flimsy receipt 7 days later dispite dealing with the same receptionist for 7 days. Put it on the computer. I still had my towel and my tokens but it wasn’t “proof” apparently. The beds were made in the room but nothing was cleaned and the sheets were not changed. We only had 2 towels for 2 days even though there were 4 of us in the room. The room is not made for 4 people.

Absolutely lovely hotel. Food was lovely and with plenty of choice. The food Is mostly the same everyday with a few little tweeks. But the food is lovely. The only thing is nothing is open until 10.30am so until drinks are not available until then. The pillows were too soft on the bed too, that's me being fussy! The place is exceptionally clean even the toilet. Fantastic location couldn't fault not much entertainment would of loved to see some Spanish dancers or something. If there's no swimming involved there is the arcade which could cost you a pretty penny. Would of loved to have a proper kids club through out the day instead of an hour at night. Would I book to go back here again. Yes. Absolutely i would.

We came here on the 7th may for 1 week are kids first holiday on a plane was very disappointing the kids entertainment was non existent at the least they didn't play zero music inside or outside , the food was cold the snack bar was left over food from breakfast the staff were rude and not polite , the bar shut for like 3 hours a day they say there on lunch but in a hotel couldn't someone else take over if you pay for all inclusive the bar should be open , I would avoid this place at all costs and I seen alot more people complaining when there

Noisy, kids running around late at night and early morning. Smell of sewage. Fight broke out Sunday night. Police had to be called. No sleep for 2 nights between nightclub on the corner and fights on the steet. Checked out 3 days early. Food awful too. Avoid this hotel.

We booked a 3 generation family holiday at Hotel Sorra Duran’s Splash to celebrate our daughters 30th birthday. Having read a few more of the recent reviews, there were a few concerns about what we would experience. Upon arrival, the staff at reception were very happy to welcome us all (4 adults 2 children) and made usual feel very welcome. This was a great start. We headed up to our rooms, unpack, and have a look around the hotel and local area. Having arrived at almost 5.00pm we had missed the splash pool and pool side bar and snacks, but the bar in the hotel was open. Estrella was the beer on tap, which was very nice, and a good selection of cocktails as well. Some of the ‘all inclusive local spirits’ were not what I would buy, but they were always served in good measure! First meal was dinner, and what a delight it was too. Lots of fresh salad, 3 different hot food areas, and a good selection of cheese and cold meats along with a wide selection of fruit and deserts. The goodness well cooked, and very tasty. This continued with all meals, and a nice American Night, which went down very well. The pool was a little cold, but that’s to be expected in October! Overall, a very good stay at the hotel, wonderful staff, excellent food.
