Just come home from a lovely 11 night stay at the Peninsula Resort and Spa. We had a 2 bedroom suite with a balcony overlooking the sea and the salt water swimming pool. The beds were very comfortable, and the room was spacious. We opted for the all-inclusive plan as it wasn't much more expensive and worked out good value compared to eating out every day. The food was lovely. Just wanted to add a few improvements that could be made. The showers don't have a large enough screen, so the floor gets very flooded. We had two bathrooms, and one of them ended up swimming in water. The water was coming through an overflow plug on the floor, which seemed to be connected to the main shower and sink. We did mention it to the chambermaid who instantly contacted the maintenance team who put a filter in to help, which did seem to stop it from happening. Bubbles were coming out of the other overflow, too, and they did the same thing. We had a late checkout, so we were put in another room on our last day so we could go for a swim. The same thing happened in there, too, so I'm not sure if there's a problem with the plumbing. The food was very nice, lots of fruit and salad and a wide selection of hot food and deserts. I do think it would be nice to swap and change things around a bit more, though. There were definitely too many fries, even at breakfast. Had hash browns only two days of the stay. The drinks weren't the best either. The soft drinks tasted like water most of the time, and sometimes, they weren't being topped up with syrup, so tasted like soda water. The cocktails at the bar aren't properly presented, just in a paper cup, so I think they could work on their presentation. It might be all-inclusive, but guests still pay a lot to stay. Lastly, I would say staff in your dining room, shop, and your chambermaids were extremely friendly and always had a smile on their face and were happy to assist in any way. However some of your staff members were not as friendly and didn't feel very approachable, especially on your main reception desk. A couple of receptionists were really nice, but there were a few who who weren't as welcoming and helpful and came across a little rude. I do want to stress that we did have a lovely stay, and any negative feedback is purely just aspects that could be improved. Thank you to all your team, especially your catering team and your shop assistants. They really made our stay.
