Zac & Georgio Studios "ex Imperial Studios"

I have been coming here since I was a young'un and I'm now 21 (again - and with 30 years extra experience). Minimum of once a year, sometimes up to three times. I've lost count. I have come alone, with colleagues for work retreats, with an editor for a book rewrite, with babies, with toddlers, with teens, with pyung adults and their soon to be spouses, for a romantic break with husband, with "left home" adult kids and with 9 of us for a full family trip. We have ALWAYS had a fabulous time. Georgio is great fun, always practical, and forever making a fabulous holiday. Rooms are basic, very clean, garden is amazing, pool is glorious and somehow never overcrowded even when the place is full. We have always made friends here and often have used it as a meeting spot for people we have only seen and met here. Georgio cooks wonderful food, and the price is almost always better (and the quality) than eating out. The beach is a couple of minutes walk away. Lots of touristy shops are a couple of minutes walk away. There's a local nightclub that I've never been to up the road, and plenty of bars, tavernas and mini supermarkets selling the usual delightful array of touristy bits, that we fill our suitcases with. I just cannot fault the place. If you want extreme luxury go elsewhere. If you want clean comfort and decently priced, SAFE holiday (cctv covers the place and the entrances - reassuring with small children and if travelling alone) then I honestly don't think you can improve on here. The feel of the place is relaxed, lazy, lots of sunbeds, large pool which isn't overly deep now and feels very safe but great for swimming, lots of seating by the bar in the shade. Music can be a bit loud round the pool for studying, but the local beach is easy to pick up a mobile signal and work from. Highly recommend Aptera Beach for meals if you arent at the hotel and for the best burgers locally try Franks about a 15 min very leisurely evening stroll. We avoid Petousis, scary place, overpriced with very grumpy staff and crap food. Parking is good, Never seen the carpark overfull, but I'm sometimes on a motorbike which makes it easier. After all this time I feel like this place is my home. Our whole family regard Georgio as part of it and we can't wait to get back twice this year
