Tranquil Getaways on Obi Maleny

I loved my 3-night stay at On Obi Maleny in the guest room. I wandered down to the Obi Creek in the mornings. It runs through the property and I would sit in the shade among the lomandra (native grasses) and journal. You are immersed in the sounds of the cicadas and see little splashes around the creek from the platypus' who shelter in the creek. It was also great to be able to reset my nervous system with yoga in the studio. It has beautiful timber floors, air conditioning, and a view of the tree canopy. Highly recommend for a reset from life!

My husband and I had a beautiful stay the cabin we stayed in was cabin 2 and it was beautiful. The creek with it’s beautiful rainforest their are no words I felt so relax it was the best get away. The cabins are walking distance to RSL, the hotel and a great walk track. Pizza place and Chinese food.

Tranquil Getaways really live up to their name. As you walk in to your cabin, you are greeted by lush green views from all the large windows, overlooking the Obi creek and trees. Yet you are completely private and can relax in the spa bath, gazing up at the treetops. Barb and Greg have created a perfect retreat for couples or a solo visitor seeking peace, providing well equipped accommodation including delicious breakfast supplies and other extras on request such a the recommended (by me) cheese plate and wine, chocolates, flowers and other treats. Barb runs a lovely yoga class some days, which would suit any agility level, and Greg offers massage (which I sadly didn't have time for). It would be easy to not leave until check out time, but the township of Maleny is a very short walk away with its tempting shops and cafes. Montville is not far away, and Mary Cairncross park for some rainforest walking. Sadly, no platypus appeared in the creek, but otherwise this escape was perfect.

Loved our stay. Greg and Barb are fantastic hosts that make the extra effort to personalise our stay. Great attention to details. It's the little things. Very handy location. We enjoyed the scenic walks along the creek through the rain forest to get to the Maleny Music Festival and town. Relaxing in the tub and enjoying the tranquil sights and sounds of nature from the balcony - just perfect! We will come again. Thank you.

Well appointed accommodation (we had two units with one being mobility scooter friendly). Excellect location and access to the main centre not requiring a car. Wonderful hosts who were friendly and helpful. Overall our expectations were exceeded.

Wonderful host, beautiful villa and views, close to restaurants and peaceful. Villa had everything you needed plus a spa bath and balcony overlooking rainforest and creek. Hosts looked after us well and our stay was very relaxing. Highly recommended.
