This is a wonderful hotel. Staff very helpful. There is a common area on the grass for lounging. Breakfast is wonderful. So fun to watch the windsurfers while eating. Dinner was also excellent in the restaurant. 15 minute walk to town. The only downside was the room color. It was red and made the room dark.

Hotel Ambienthotel and Primaluna were a pleasant surprise and magnificent. Great location, clean spacious rooms, and the entire staff were amazing. The food was top notch and appreciated all their efforts and kindness. Would not hesitate to stay there again. Cheers

This was the second time we have stayed at PrimaLuna in Malcesine and our stay was fantastic. In 2023 four of us stayed in one room for three nights and in June of 2024 ten of us stayed in four rooms for four nights. In 2024 we were three generations celebrating a big anniversary. Claudia and Antonio and every person at PrimaLuna was helpful, thoughtful and went beyond expectations. Weeks before our recent arrival we made reservations at the excellent restaurant, Rossovivo, at the hotel and told them it was a special occasion. The dinner for 10 included unexpected, unique touches that made it a lifetime memory. The soft, people aspects of our stays have been outstanding. And the more tangible elements make our stays pleasant and convenient: The hotel is steps from Lago di Garda which means beautiful views and easy access to just about any water sport. It is about a 10 minute walk to the gondola up to Monte Baldo and into the center of Malcesine and ferries that make it easy to hop around the beautiful lake. Without getting in a car, our group rented a sail boat, rented bicycles and bombed down 6,000 foot Monte Baldo, hiked around and ate lunch atop Monte Baldo, rode for miles on the bike trail along the lake, toured Scaliger Castle and beautiful Malcesine, swam in the lake and easiest of all, lounged at the hotel pool with tasty drinks. We also enjoy the unusual architecture of the hotel, which they describe as "Everything looks like it needs to be fixed, but it's all perfectly in its place". Last, but certainly not least for a hotel, the rooms are very comfortable with a dash of quirkiness for interest. PrimaLuna in Malcesine is the kind of place we would like to come back to again and again.

The kids’ bedroom had its own secret handshake with the main bedroom – a partition that whispered, “Hey, let’s keep it chill.” And oh, that private garden terrace! Imagine sipping espresso while the lake winked back at you, saying, “You’re amore-azing!” ☕🌄 🌿 Freshness Level: Unicorn Breath The hotel smelled so fresh, I half-expected a lemon-scented breeze to sweep me off my feet. Clean towels? Check. Bath mats? Like fluffy clouds for our feet. And those bed sheets? Changed more often than a chameleon at a disco. 🛁🌈 👩‍👨‍👧‍👦 Staff: Sunshine in Human Form The staff – they’re the reason rainbows exist. Warm, approachable, and friendlier than a gelato vendor on a hot day. Need an extra pillow? They’d fluff it with love. Craving insider tips? They spilled the beans faster than a pasta pot boiling over. 🍝🌞 🍳 Breakfast Bonanza: Cotential Awesomeness The connected restaurant served breakfast like Nonna used to make – minus the scolding for not finishing our veggies. Homemade cakes, fresh fruit, and enough coffee to power a Vespa rally. And the staff there? They deserve a standing ovation. 👏🥐 🏊‍♂️ Terrace Pool: Where Mermaids Frolic (and Humans Too) The terrace pool – a liquid gem nestled between mountains and dreams. Clean as a whistle, with sun beds that whispered, “Relax, you’re on Italian time now.” And the hot tub? It melted stress faster than gelato on a sunny day. 🍦🏊‍♀️ 🌊 Lake Love: Swims, Strolls, and Limone Dreams PrimaLuna sits right by the lake, like a duckling. We swam, we strolled, and we even did the “I’m on vacation” waltz. Limone – a town so charming, it could make a stoic statue crack a smile. Cobblestone streets, boat tours, and gelato galore. In summary, Ambienthotel PrimaLuna is the kind of place where memories bloom like sunflowers. Pack your bags, bring your appetite, and prepare for a dolce vita overdose. 🇮🇹❤️ Pro Tip: If you spot a friendly sparrow, ask it for local secrets. They’re surprisingly well-informed. 🐦

Perfect location and the most amazing staff- very human and caring! Restaurant in a hotel very nice- don’t miss a chance to dine there!

Perfect location right on the lake, only a path between the hotel and the water. All personnel, friendly, helpful and professional. Hard to spot from the road. GPS in rental car did not recognise the street address.

The staff was so helpful, and the restaurant is excellent. Laura was very helpful. The lights in the room were difficult to figure out. Very spacious room with a great view of the lake. Plenty of amenities at this hotel.

Location and property are amazing, staff are very friendly and go out of their way to be helpful. Lovely short walk along the lake path to Malcesine. Hotel and facilities are all excellent, interior design is a bit eccentric but good if you're into that sort of thing. Good breakfast selection. Room was spitting distance from the water.

We stayed with family for 3 nights, in a family room overlooking Lake Garda. Pro's: 1. Great location - right on Lake Garda, below the road. So direct access to the water, and the walking path that takes you into Malcesine in about 5 minutes. 2. Eclectic rooms - interesting furniture and design. Not your standard boring hotel room. Separate bedroom for the kids, very well laid out. Also very comfortable - aircon, lots of balcony furniture to sit and enjoy the lake views. 3. Stunning dining room - for the breakfast buffet, but also a fantastic restaurant and bar for dinner (packed with more than just hotel guests). Picture windows looking straight over the lake over to Limone. 4. Great service - helpful with organising adventures nearby. Friendly welcome. Con's: 1. Pool area was just OK - a little small, and the services around this (towels etc) could be improved. 2. Bathroom / shower area was quite slippery, and the fixtures not great. But that seemed to be common problem in Italy. Overall, we loved our stay, it exceeded our expectations, and would happily go back.
