Sol Málaga Guadalmar Hotel

Very good hotel with excellent staff. As a family, we have really enjoyed a lot. I wish best wishes to all of them.

Unique location: close to the airport, direct beach access (across a pedestrian path), close to airport ($15 taxi ride). Outside of Málaga but ideal for nice retreat. Very friendly staff, buffet available 3 times a day or a la carte meals at the pool bar. Gym is $5 extra a day and outdated.

A beautiful hotel so close to the beach it has its own door to walk out on to the promenade. The staff have been very friendly, as a single travel this is very important to me as they made me feel safe and welcome and helped with any queries I had. The room has been very spacious and comfortable with the basic amenities hairdryer/tea and coffee facilities and a TV. I would love to stay again

Loved the hotel. Great location. Staff friendly. Nice room overlooking the sea. Boardwalk to run. Entertainment. Nice bar. Great breakfast. Would definitely stay here again!

Food was average. Poor door locks. Elevators slow, crowded and one out of service most of the time.

The view and the sound of the waves! Upgrade to a frontal sea view, superior or not and you will enjoy a beachfront property, with no other tourist besides your fellow hotelmates. With that said, the hotel itself is old school and needs modern updates, badly. The furniture is rundown, the rooms lack Melia hotel brand normalizing like lotion in room, refrigerators that work, coffee makers and not just instant coffee with barely any creams and sugars. Just basic higher end AMENITIES YOU EXPECT FROM A MELIA PROPERTY! Also, no more room service available, bad move, because you can't even order food to go from the bar. So frustrating when you are on a dreamy vacations n and just want to ENJOY THE ROOM, wake up to coffee and breakfast or a late night cocktail/wine and some tapas on your sea view BALCONY. Plus, you don't always want to go have a buffet dinner or lunch and the VERY FEW bars that are walkable are only open short hours and sometimes not the best. The hotel should know that unlike their Melia Costa del SOL hotel where there are100s of food walkable food options. Hotel should offer better small meal options, not buffet for every meal. There's a HUGE mall about 5min drive with easy parking. It has every store known to man, loads of fast food if that is your thing. But we LOVE the rooms with the view and the sound of the waves as we sleep, so we just hope that one day soon the Melia people will do the very needed modernization of the rooms. (The lobby seems fine.)

Stay was amazing. It is just next to beach, I had nice seaview room. Pool was amazing they had nice aquadance scheduled in pool, my family enjoyed it. I enjoyed the stay and would recommend it for others.

Good hotel, right in front of the beach. Really good breakfast and outside area with pool. Beware that the gym has an extra charge (5€ per day) and has limited opening hours. Pool service for towels doesn’t work until around 11:30. Would stay here again.
