Hatten Hotel Melaka

Booked for two rooms. The rooms is ok. Air conditioning is cold. Nice view from level 17th. Parking is free provided by the hotel. Staff hotel is friendly and helpful. Easy to get food and beverage by walking distance.

Excellent location, room size is quite big and breakfast food can be improved more in terms of variety. Very close to all the main attractions such as A'Famosa, Jonker Street and etc

We had a mixed experience with our stay at the hotel. Pros : - Great location and well connected with Jonker street/most tourist attractions such as Baba Nonya Heritage Museum, Afamosa colonial fort, Cheng Hoon Teng temple, Jonker Walk/Jonker night market, Taming Sari tower Close by cab to the Submarine museum - Some good food options in nearby Mhakota Parade mall Also local eateries nearby/ at Jonker Walk - Decent room - room size, no disturbance from any other rooms on floor Comfortable bed Good shower - Decently sized swimming pool - Moderately equipped gym Cons: - Although a great property, it’s not at all maintained. Our room had amazing view but the glass was covered in green and black fungus all over from outside. They also never got back on our request to change room. - House cleaning does a bad job at bathroom cleaning, soap stains all around basin counter - Swimming pool has broken tiles and too many dry leaves/dirt particles floating in water - Service is not particularly good, either they do not understand what you ask for or sometimes they say yes and do nothing - House keeping doesn’t always replenish basic toiletries like toothpaste - Breakfast is a horror especially during weekend when there are more people visiting Tables are not cleared/piles of dirty plates all over; the staff is happily chit chatting with each other but will not bother to clear plates even if you request them to, we ended up doing ourselves ultimately Food is not replenished for long time, we waited so long for basic bread to be restocked All in all, it has not been pleasant experience for a tourist on vacation and would not recommend anyone to stay at this hotel.

Housekeeping did not come to our room. The breakfast during our last morning was bad. Food was replenished late, came down to look at very very little spread of food.

I rated this hotel as 5Star., The scent in the hotel was very nice .The complimentary breakfast was excellent in range and the room was excellent too

Our stay at the hotel was nearly perfect, with excellent customer service and a super convenient location. However, there was a significant safety concern at the bathroom entrance. A tiny, sharp nail-like protrusion injured my wife’s sole as she stepped out to put on her house slippers. I’ve attached a photo of the nail for reference. This could have been avoided with proper maintenance. Additionally, there were some cleanliness issues, including stains on the curtains, windows, and blinds. As much as we wanted to leave a glowing review, we felt it was important to share this feedback honestly, hoping the hotel can improve these aspects for future guests.
