Worst ever hotel

I would recommend looking for alternative accommodations. The property, though seemingly appealing in photos, especially the garden view, falls short in reality. The swimming options are limited to a small pool. The entire establishment carries a Hindu-style aesthetic, which may feel cluttered and chaotic to some. The breakfast area, resembling what one might find in a slum, does not inspire confidence in dining there. Additionally, the cleanliness of the rooms is questionable, with unclean walls being a notable concern. Coupled with outdated amenities, slow Wi-Fi, inefficient air conditioning, and a lack of elevator for upper floors, the overall experience is significantly diminished. The ill-fitting bedding, loud toilet, and the need for an urgent renovation further contribute to a less-than-ideal stay. I definitely would not choose to stay here again.

Both double rooms had a lake view, but the standard was very different. The breakfast was good with French bread that appeared to be very fresh. It was nice to be able to sit outside and study the behavior of the small birds. They kept control of the tables before and during breakfast. In the first room the fan didn’t work. It was to slow. Therefore it became unacceptably hot especially, when I was trying to sleep. The shower had been turned off and the bathroom floor became very slippery when it had become wet. We found the town of Mahebourg nice, so we extended our stay by two days. The hotel offered us a new room with a much better standard when we stayed two more days. I appreciated that we now had a fridge and a shower that worked. It was nice with a pool but difficult to get up, when it had rained. After the rain the edge of the pool had become very slippery. I didn't want to slip and hurt myself. I swam in the sea the other days. The beach was very shallow. But watch out! There are a lot of sharp corals. I will give 4 points. (Three points for the first part of the stay and five for the last.)

I booked a double room in this hotel on *******. The booking was confirmed, the payment was carried out and one week later the hotel told me to cancel my booking on ******* as they were expecting a large group. Not even an apology was offered. Stay away from them!

It’s a good place for a one night stay and easy to move around the south. The very good rating from average is for the hospitality. It was an enjoyable and relaxing trip. Special thanks for the granny hospitality who served us breakfast the following day in the morning. It was very basic breakfast but the view from the garden was worthwhile. Enjoy the simplest thing!
