Thapsus Beach Resort

What a rubbish hotel. Every else around was full of people and parties but this one was empty (10 guests) and nothing to do as hotel is out of season after 15th of September. Air con is off, kitchens are off, no animations and PEOPLE ARE SMOKING IN THE LOBBY! Can You imagine that I was on the sunbed and some guys came with hammers to take down the slide for kids? Hammer banging everyday from 8am. No one speaks English there as well. worse experience I ever had...in my opinion AVOID.. there's many better hotels around..

Very good Holiday here everything IT was good and great the position in this hotel beauty for we see the beach and so amezing vu we really Happy here and we have program fór to back here again And we are interssed fór every show night fór animation

Without a doubt the worst hotel of my life. Check-in took 3 hours amidst the heat, sweat and screams of guests. Old hotel, old and finished furniture, 1 single socket in the room, air con weak made me sweat even at night, room delivered dirty with sand and hair, food is terrible(could not eat there due to the dirtiness of the place, dirty plates, forks with dry food in it, food aspect horrible), hot drinks (soft drinks and beer at room temperature), no parking space at all car stayed at the street all days, ridiculous all inclusive wich made me spend lots of money in drinks and food outside the hotel, dirty common areas, some of the staff is rude and scream at you if you complain. Booked through love holidays and without any doubt it was the worst travel of my life, Don't reccomend it even for my worst enemy.

Beautiful beach and sea and thats everything. Very poor food, 90 percent Tunisian food, low variety. The worse is that they supplement food really slowly and sometimes there is nothing to choose (for example empty table of cakes/only one type of pastries/nothing suitable for children because also spaghetti were spicy) Tables look dirty, everytime messy. Rooms are simple and old, our was clean (not the case of other travelers- cockroach). Good point is that there is enough place by pool and on the beach on the loungers. So if youre looking for last minute vacation and just want to spend week by the sea, be modest and it will be okay :D

When we were there, in June 2024. it seemed that the season didn't start yet in the hotel. They weren't organised, housekeeping, animation, stuff in general. They gave us very bed room, dirty, and one receptionist gave us "special rate"to change the room, which was non official one, it was he's price. After 7 days, they started to work properly and to prepare for the season. So my advice is to go there from July, not before. In general, hotel is fine, (nothing special), but in Tunisia you should choose hotel with more stars, because usually, 5 star is 4 star, 4 is 3 etc...Also, the stuff in general was very polite, except this receptionist, but they fired him after this incident with us and one more familly. One advice more, do not book the room with garden view because it is terrible.

The hotel is well organized, however, the rooms require renovation. The staff is friendly and kind. The food is very good. The biggest impression was left by the people who deal with animation throughout the day. They are especially excellent when working with children. We have fond memories of our vacation in Thapsus.
