Radisson Blu Resort Temple Bay Mamallapuram

The stay was disappointing. Breakfast section was a mess. House keeping was average. There weren’t enough napkins and face towels in the room. Food was consistently below average. The pool that was by the sea was poorly kept. For the experience and amenities they offer the hotel is terribly overpriced. It was more like a 3-star resort and not 5-star like advertised

I am very happy during my 5 days stay here. The room was constantly cleaned and the service by Arghya was marvellous. Beside keeping the room clean and fresh, He take the trouble to do up cute towels to lighten up the stay. Well done. Will definitely come back for leisure .

I gave Average rating Mainly for the Reception desk, house keeping and Restaurant Service. Reception - Check in at 3pm requested for early check in and they informed me that will check for room availability at the time of check in. Went at 2npm, was given the usual welcoming smile with garland and asked us to be seated and will call for the check in process. Waited for 20 mins and went there to remind them that i had asked for early check and they responded to wait for few minutes. Again 10 mins went by and I had to go and remind them again to start the check in process. The whole check in was managed by just 2 ppl even though you have a confirmed guest list for the Day. Time management is very poor and coordination as the welcoming staff is clueless in terms of who came in first. You have more staff on the lounge than the check in counter. Accomodation - We were given the garden chalet, rooms were clean and neat. Later in the evening we started noticing spiders in the room, we thought its just one but were surprised to see more infact one was crawling over me. I called the house keeping and they offered to send someone to remove them. I insisted them to change the room as i am not keen in staying with spiders. They changed my room in the night. For the price we pay I expect the house keeping staffs to pay more attention to the rooms without insects. Restaurant: I am a regular visitor to Water Edge restaurant for more than 10 years. The taste of food has come down. The Staff management needs to improve, people are not attentive especially when it comes to guest opting for Ala carte. I had to remind the staff to bring my orders as they were delayed. And what was surprising is the staff were verbally fighting each other in corner and conveniently forgetting my order.(These scene can be behind the doors and not in front of the guest). Temple Bay it's time you need to improve your staffing and hospitality and food. Mere greetings and smile will not help.I am sure you guys will do much better than this. Take this as a feedback for improvement and not as a complaint.
