Alila Kothaifaru Maldives

The hotel has very good food options and all are very well made. The staffs are very attentive and friendly, always coming to chat with us and giving advice on activities and history of Maldives. I’m The hotel offers good variety of water sports so that we won’t get bored. The sand is fine on the beach and the water quality is very suitable for snorkelling. We can easily find lots of fish by swimming a hundred meters from the shore. We tried SPAs, table tennis, snooker, gym facilities. We joined scuba diving, fishing and they were all very well organised. The only shortfall is the pest problem. Lots of mosquitoes caused serious problems at the beginning. The staff should have warned guests seriously about this so that we can get prepared (closing doors and apply repellant) otherwise you will get really bad bites by various bugs. We stayed at beach villa and every night it’s like a battle of all kinds of bugs - gigantic cockroaches, snails, worms, caterpillars, flies, lizards, spiders, red ants and sand bugs. I even found one flying ant in bed one night. This really ******* me during the entire trip.

水屋浪有點大，晴天的時候還是很美的，魚很多，管家服務還是很不錯的，日本餐廳服務態度很好，餐食新鮮，主餐廳早餐很不錯，種類單點品很多，沙灘很細，最喜歡大秋千，孩子玩的很開心

沙屋真的蟲子太多了，怕蟲子的還是選水屋吧

因為是新島原因，房間設施都很新，很不錯👍

What can I say … WOW! My husband and I just left Alila after spending 5 nights celebrating our anniversary, one in the beach villas and four in a sunset over water villa. By far our most amazing and memorable vacation all because of the staff and accommodations here. I booked Alila because I love Hyatt properties and was excited about such a new resort and it exceeded expectations. From being greeted at the airport to being dropped back off after our vacation, we never had to worry about a thing! The staff was so helpful, kind and genuinely nice. We truly enjoyed getting to know them. Special shoutout to Sull our host who made sure we had everything we needed the entire vacation and seamlessly organized our week, Atoof who made our shack sundowner and private dinner unforgettable and Echo who was always such a delight while we were dining and the DJ at Mirus Bar in the evening who had the best beats, kept us at the bar late one night! My husband and I love to stay active so we booked quite a few activities and our expectations were exceeded with each one. Started off with Teppanyaki at Umami and found out upon arrival that they were doing a special sake pairing and moved our reservation for us, how fun and very generous with the sake! We did the floating breakfast which was such a bucket list item and worth it! Snorkeling to the turtle reef, Fernanda was our amazing guide, was so helpful while snorkeling and talked to us about her work in marine biology which we were so interested in! We also did a photo session which was so much fun and made sure we came home with some physical memories of our trip as well as the best massages of our lives at the spa and an unforgettable evening at the Shack for the sundowner. We had wanted to do the Dhoni sundowner but is under renovation so they put us at the Shack. It’s beautiful and private and an unforgettable spot to watch the sunset. We were sad to leave! Finally we ended our trip with a private dinner under the stars, which was setup beautifully, had dedicated serving and cooking staff and was amazing! The chef Frank also came out to check on us which was a nice touch! We loved the rooms, the views, the food and how the resort never felt crowded. My husband loved watching the bats on the island - so cool! And the house reef was spectacular. You won’t regret a visit to Alila Maldives!

Alila was the most breathtaking and amazing place I’ve ever been. From the time we landed until we flew out of the Maldives everything was perfect. The resort does an amazing job of coordinating everything between the time you arrive and depart Male. They had someone from the hotel waiting for us once we got to Velana International Airport who helped us with a smooth transition over to the Alila resort. Once we arrived at the resort everything was clean, beautiful, and picturesque. All the employees were wonderful and truly made it the best vacation of our lives. We became friends with some of the staff and they made it feel like home. Sandip, Asanka, Chanka, Atoof, and Syn made it an incredible experience. Their hospitality and impeccable customer service was something that made Alila even more special. We will for sure be back to the Maldives and we will be staying at Alila again. While you’re at Alila you have to do a snorkeling or scuba excursion. The Eurodivers team there was incredible. They were professional, fun, and very knowledgeable. Our scuba excursion and turtle reef snorkeling were highlights of the trip! Also, all of the food and drinks are fantastic! Alila gets a perfect review from us!!
