Hotel Lake View is a budget/family class hotel in central Madurai. It has all the amenities (new air unit, hot water day and night, tv, elevator), at a very reasonable price. The front desk staff were very helpful and on the morning of my departure, called my transfer company to verify that the driver was on his way (indeed he pulled in just as I was talking to the service representative). The room was large, and fairly well maintained; and although the hotel is on a main road, noise was not a factor overnight. Breakfast (Idly) was a bit meagre. I took an Auto (with my local guide) to see the sites. Overall a decent stay in Madurai.

Room are just okay for the price, we took triple cot. Restroom door, lift needs refurbishing atleast. Staffs were polite and helpful

It’s a good budget hotel that i recommend for families too. Nearby lot of eateries are there for our choices.

Room is spacious. Bathroom was clean. Parking is congested. Road to the hotel is not so nice due to construction work

The hotel is located on a wide road. Parking is available outside. Rooms are good. Could not get hot water for bathing in the morning. Good vegetarian restaurant is available very near to this place. Transferring luggage is a quite difficult process. Bed sheets are very old and dirty. Staff are cooperative. Locks are dilapidated.

Its a decent place a bit outside the main market and the temple area. The main temple is around 5 kms from here. Pros: * staff are polite and try to help
* room (ac suit) was big. * autorickshaw stand is just outside the hotel. Scope of improvement:
* infrastructure & furniture are old - need renovation
* ac (old window ac type) needs to be replaced. * hot water supply (no geyser in bathroom) was not proper. * one fan had no speed control. * bedsheets etc. Are also old and look yellowish / not very clean. * parking of cars is a bit inconvenient. There will be cars parked behind your car in a line so to take out your car, other cars are needed to be moved out. Overall, a decent place which can be very good with some improvements.
