Location was phenomenal. Staff was great. Hotel itself was very nice. Only downside was no noise at all in room. As no noise from a/c. With it being so quiet you could hear the street noise all night long. Like people partying and sirens off and on. It’s on a busy street so needs some kind of little noise machine to blend out the outside traffic and noise.

Very good boutique hotel in the Autograph Selection group of Marriott. Excellent and attentive staff that will handle your needs in a proactive manner. Just top flight people. Breakfast was excellent and food prep and presentation top notch. Super location too.

Perfectly nice hotel in the heart of Madrid with walking access to Plaza del Rey, Plaza Mayor, and Museo Nacional del Prado. Service was decent with friendly staff. Breakfast was ordinary though - super basic breakfast options with few varieties, not to mention inattentive staff. Details below: Location: very convenient as it is located in the heart of Madrid on Calle Gran Via. It is surrounded by malls, restaurants, bars, and whatever else you need. The downside is that it is bloody loud regardless of the timing of the night as people are always out and about after drinking. As we all know, Spanish eat and drink very late! Service: generally the staff is quite friendly but hotel is sparsely staffed. At one time, you will have one person who’s able to assist with check in and check out, thus holding up the process. Also, one incident that wasn’t ideal was they didn’t upgrade me originally despite the suite’s availability (as I hold an elite platinum for Bonvoy). After I saw the room, I had to seek explanation and then got upgraded after which. Room: the room was nice, clean, classy, and Suave. The bathroom is of decent size with any amenities you’d need there. Food: the dining room was exquisite. We had the breakfast and the best word to describe it was ‘basic’. They had two sets of continental breakfast and breakfast with eggs option. Not much more to shout about. The waitresses weren’t the best though. They didn’t speak much English, hence didn’t explain the menu at all and if it was buffet style or not. Moreover, they kept talking to each other during the meal instead of watching the clients. Happened every day we were there. Overall: good hotel in the centre of Madrid. Would I go back? Undecided. While it has pros, it also has a number of cons and service could really be improved.
