Hotel Gianna

Loved our stay at this wonderful family run hotel. Clean. Amazing food and the friendliest people making sure we had the best time. Mille Grazie . Cannot wait to return

We stayed at the Gianna on a week’s ski holiday with Crystal Ski having chosen the hotel based on reviews. The hotel is great and we have no complaints at all. We’ve done a fair amount of ski holidays (all with Crystal) and this hotel compares well against others. Room was lovely, clean, well serviced and the staff were really friendly. If you’re worrying about distance from lifts, then don’t. The hotel’s mini bus (run by Florino) is very efficient, I don’t think we ever waited more than 10 mins to be picked up after a day’s skiing; you just give him a call. Food is all good and the wine isn’t expensive at all, the Prosecco at €24 is especially nice 😂. We’ve never skied Madonna before (we’re intermediate skiers in our late 50s) and enjoyed the area. Some of the reds are challenging, especially in the morning when the piste is still very firm, but nothing too bad. Lifts are a bit of a mix, some great and some ancient, there are also a couple of pinch points, so plan accordingly, there is routinely only one option to get from A to B. Don’t be put off though, the area is good fun and we enjoyed the week. Finally, Crystal Ski seem to be an easy target for some online. We’ve travelled twice a year with them for the last decade and they’ve always been fine😀

Excellent, cosy hotel; room and bathroom are very clean; very good food; wide choice for breakfast and real feast for dinners; nice SPA; convenient ski storage room; all staff very helpful and kind (Maurizio :); the hotel is located within 12-15 mins walking distance from the ski lifts, however the hotel provides a ski-bus running on demand; highly recommended :)

The hotel offers everything that I hoped for, a cosy, clean and quiet room, helpful staff and good food.

This is a lovely old school family run hotel. Most of the staff seem to have been working here for some time which is often a good sign. A lovely friendly bunch. One or two slightly quirky bits bit that just adds to the charm of the place. The locations is good but just on the edge of town so a 10 minute walk into the very centre. We were half board and the evening food was varied and lovely with a locally sourced focus - I think this is a good option for those staying here. We were snow walking rather than skiing on this trip. The town is well geared for this with about 15 marked walks and maps available in the hotel. This was the first time we had done this rather than ski but a lovely variation to getting into the quiet parts of the mountains away from the noise of the pieste. Post exercise use of the spar was great - lovely outdoors sauna and hot tub as well as the rest, steam room and swimming pool etc inside the hotel. My two minor feedback issues are 1. The internet was really poor (I know that me be out of your control) but phone signal was fine. 2. If you are brit take a kettle and tea, not in the room. Overall, I felt this was great value for money. Many thanks for making our stay a really enjoyable experience. We are already talking about coming back next year.

Cosy hotel with intimate feeling, but also offers a lot of services such as pool, sauna, steam sauna relax, outdoor hot tub. Nice food that displays traditional dishes from the region, and great wines. The waiters were top notch, attentive, helpful and quick and could recommend nice wine pairings for the food. The room was great - the top floor suite - perfect for a family of 4.
