I specifically asked for a nonsmoking room in my reservation request, but they gave me a smoking room. The cigarette smoke smell really messed with my sinuses and made it difficult to breathe. When I asked the front desk clerk about it in the morning at check-out, he was very rude and said that I requested that room which WAS a SMOKING room. I told him that I hadn’t and specifically asked for a NONSMOKING room when booking my reservation. Then he told me I had to take it up with Trip.com because it was a prepaid room. I should have asked the minute I stepped in the door for a different room instead of just trying to deal with it, so I realize it is partly my fault as well. I just wish they would have warned me at check-in that it was smoking and that was all that was available (if that was the case) since you would think they would have read my request on the reservation for a NONSMOKING room. At least the lady at check-in was very polite.
