Madison Inn & Suites

After traveling 11 hours I arrive at the Madison Inn and Suites. The property condition is absolutely terrible. Not as depicted in the pictures. The hotel is extremely unsanitary. Upon checking in my room was not ready and the receptionist asked the manager what to do because they did not have any more clean sheets in the hotel. The manager told the receptionist to tell housekeeping to just fold them up. Right in front of me. The manager told told me that my room would be ready in 15-20 minutes. Almost two hours later my room was still not ready. I went to the restroom and poop was just sitting in the toilet, the other stall was nasty and trash overflowing, both sinks filled with dirty debris, crust on the walls, holes in the ceiling leaking water. Called ******* and the rep was polite but told me that I could not get a refund because of the hotels no refund policy. I refused to stay there and booked a better hotel through *******.

Avoid if you can!!! Not even sure where to start…. You have to call some random cell phone to have someone even come to the front desk to check you in. Bright side i suppose is they were pretty friendly. The guests sitting in the lobby with liquor bottles all over the place, the renovations they are doing are questionable at best. Our room happened to have an adjoining room, but can’t lock the door on your side because they painted over everything from the door to the lock, and even the handle. Our room was apparently already renovated but the curtains are barely attached, the room number was written on the door with a sharpie, the shower was filthy with cracked tiles and the popcorn ceiling falling off, the toilet wasn’t even attached to the floor, and the shower curtain was gross to put it nicely. The door had to be forced shut when entering or leaving and unable to lock it from the inside. They are doing renovations at all hours of the night yelling to each other, dragging things, slamming doors, etc. People out in the parking lot hooting and hollering all night right outside our window.

Old , it appeared fairly clean but the sheets were worn, comforter had a few small holes. It always makes me nervous about how clean it is if the bedding looks old and worn . We didn't have a trash can in our room . Someone kept banging something in the hallway. I was uneasy about staying but my husband said it was fine for overnight. My husband handled check in and said staff were friendly .

I paid through ******* and this Hotel claimed that I never paid and charged me again. I had to get ******* involved and they were just a concern as I was. They tried to then say that is was a deposit but quickly walked that back due to the charge was $56.18. They said that ******* was a fault and they were "suppose" to charge me for a deposit and that ******* makes this mistake all of the time. I immediately made contact with ******* (the agent I had from ******* was amazing and extremely Professional) and gave them a synopsis of the issues I had. The ******* agent was particularly interested in the Hotel saying that ******* is always not charging for Deposits and the Agent flat out said that the Hotel DOESN'T have any requirements for *******, nor anyone else, to charge ANY deposits. The Hotel immediately stated that they, the Hotel, made the mistake and would immediately refund the money and the receptionist, who checked me in, called me and apologized for the mistake and would refund the money. ******* told me that they would document all of the issue... But it only gets worse from here. 2 hours later the Hotel calls me directly to say that now I have to pay a deductible to them directly and told me to come to the front, in which I did since I had no choice at this point due to the fact I had to work night shift and I was already asleep and I could not book another hotel at this point. I then paid $50 more and they refused me a receipt(can prove it).

Just a one night alone! Just needed a night alone. I was very comfortable but bummed that there was no coffee pot in the room. It was clean and at that point that’s all I needed.

Room review Hi my stay was just ok. I killed about 4 roaches while i was there. But, the staff was pretty attentive. I liked the fact they sale little items that may have been forgotten while packing and the snack machines that were put in. I may stay there again who knows.
