Hotel Coorg International

We had a very pleasant stay. The rooms are spacious & the toilet are renovated & clean. The location is in the heart of town but still in a quiet place. The breakfast had good spread & room service was good. I did not use the swimming pool but the pool looks clean & well maintained.

9.6 “Excellent ” This is a superb hotel to stay at in Coorg. Brilliantly run by the considerate & kind general manager & his devoted staff; I was very well looked after here. The hotel is sparklingly clean throughout, the bathrooms, rooms, reception lounge, stairs, corridors, dining room, pool area & gardens are spotless. Really.. Obviously cleanliness is important here. Breakfast & dinners were great (I would recommend the grilled fish !) & although there’s no bar, you may bring drinks & they will supply ice if required. Rooms large & comfortable, most have pleasant views. But for fantastic views, take up their offer for a day out at their sister hotel, ‘Heritage Coorg’, 7kms away. Spend a day by their fantastic infinity pool and then lunch atop a hill with incredible views over the surrounding coffee plantations & countryside. Both these hotel are your best choice for a short or long visit to Coorg /Madikeri. I stayed eight days and loved every minute of it !! Highly recommended. 24 Jan 2025

The hotel is a 2 floor structure with no elevator. Location is a little out of the way, and getting public transport like rickshaws and cabs is difficult, so have your own vehicle. The hotel has a swimming pool and a SPA. The room is of fair size and clean but is old and outdated. The room needs to be renovated, especially the wooden furniture. Basic amenities except refrigerators are provided. For fair size room, it was very odd to provide a small 20" TV and that too not in center but on the side of the wall. The viewing is difficult. There are no side or bed lamps provided. WIFI is very poor and goes off frequently. Toilet surprisingly was modern with modern fittings, including a large mirror with built-in LED light. All toiletries are provided. Food in the restaurant is good. Breakfast has a decent variety. Room service needs to improve. Staff is very helpful and friendly. Overall, it's not a luxurious stay but a good stay compared to the package cost. Reasonable tariff.

Aurika luxury resort is true to its meaning. Luxurious and luxurious. A very spacious and natural. The staff’s hospitalities is remarkable. The quality of food and its serving is perfect. Really a natural habitat. The nature walk organised by the hotel was amazing particularly their naturalist Mr Ganesh. His knowledge of plant and birds is un comparable. We were really amazed when the birds responded to his calls. A real nature lover. The politeness of the staff is a hallmark. Enjoyed the stay a very pleasant one.

The experience was on of a kind. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The entire check-in process was very smooth with warm welcome and a delightful taste of welcome drink. Rooms were cleaned everyday and all the amenitied ensured a restful stay. The pool water was too clean. The food was over the top. Highly recommend.

Hotel is simple and peaceful but well organized and comfortable. It has welcoming ambience and courteous and well mannered staff. It is conveniently located right opposite the Police ground. Hotel has 25 rooms , all on first floor, and categorised into 4 different types - Standard AC, Deluxe AC, Suite AC and Family. Rooms are clean and well maintained. Mr Antony from their reservation office in Bengaluru was especially helpful to me for room booking at a short notice. We, as two couples, stayed there for 3 nights - 1 night in the Family room and 2 nights in the 2 Standard AC rooms. Both the rooms had a balcony with a view. Family room was quite spacious and the balcony was also large.Please note that the hotel is within the city area and hence no close scenic or mountain view from its premises. Pets are not allowed in the hotel premises. Family room had 2 double beds, sofa, center table, 2 chairs, desk with the wall attached mirror, side table , closet with safe deposit box, Cable TV, tea/coffee maker and 2 glass bottles for drinking water. Complimentary Wi-Fi, toiletries, hair dryer and laundry services are available for all rooms. Rooms also have the ceiling fans in addition to the airconditioners. Main lobby area has a library cum travel desk room. Bar and multi-cuisine restaurant offer good seating arrangement and nice décor. Hotel also has the conference and banquet rooms which I did not see during my visit. We enjoyed our breakfast (included in the stay charge) on all three days. The hotel also has a separate area within its boundary which has the main swimming pool, separate pool for children, small sized family games room, Ayurvedic massage centre and Spa. Free parking is available in its medium sized paved and walled compound which has also got separate entry and exit doors. Distance to various sightseeing places are : Raja's Tomb - 1 km, Madikeri Fort - 2 kms, Raja Seat - 2 kms, Omkareshwara Temple - 2 Kms, Abbey Falls - 5 Kms, Mandalapatti - 18 Kms, Nisargadhama - 27 Kms, Harangi Dam - 33 Kms, Golden Temple Kushalnagar - 34 kms, Bhagamandala - 37 kms, Tala Kaveri - 45 kms,  Dubare Forest – 50 kms, Iruppu Falls - 76 kms, Nagarhole - 84 kms.Distance to Kannur airport - 95 kms. , Mangalore airport - 145 kms. , Bengaluru airport - 290 kms.,Mysuru railway station - 118 kms. I also have some minor suggestions for the hotel management. I felt that the front desk was not adequately lit. I would have preferred some signboard, in the hotel compound, showing the way to swimming pool and games room. Providing hand towel and putting night lamp/dim light bulb in the rooms could be thought about. They may also consider putting the small scissor to manage easy opening and generally managing the coffee/tea sachets from the top. The coffee sachets were practically difficult to open by hand. All in all we had a relaxing, safe and pleasant stay for our first visit to Coorg.
