The Bath Hotel

Well established hotel, knows its business. Room [Dalgarno) was okay, good space and sea view good but felt slightly underwhelmed because looking at some of the sea view rooms on line it was not as quirky or bright as some. I saw a note saying you can’t choose rooms online but if you ring you might be able to select. To be fair it had excellent space, a comfortable bed and a lovely view of the harbour and sea also a good settee. A few housekeeping issues. 1 in particular reported but was immediately resolved and we were given a bottle of wine, lovely gesture! A lovely lounge with a roaring fire and fab seating . Restaurant ascetically pleasing but sadly a poor ,tough steak spoilt the meal but the fish n chips were good . Restaurant really quiet but guess it might be time of year. Sample menu on website seemed really interesting but the one on offer wasn’t anywhere near as interesting seemed standard fare much like the adjoining bar Excellent breakfast. Pub attached was buzzing. Would I book again? Possibly if I saw an offer but probably not at full price. Staff are so willing and attentive but the offer just needs a bit more attention to detail and flow to make the best of the quirky building . You will have a comfortable stay , no worries.

We thoroughly enjoyed our 3 night stay. The room was very good. The staff were very welcoming & helpful. The breakfasts were exceptional, as was the food in the Ancient Mariner pub that is attached to the hotel. We would definitely like to visit again.

We spent two nights at The Bath ,a saturday and sunday night as part of an off season deal including evening meal and two brekfasts .We were very impressed with the hotel very clean tidy and full of quirky decor .The staff were very professional smiley and helpful .Our room was warm and comfy and quiet at night .We were particularly impressed by an Australian staff member .She was so helpful and cheerful despite the hotel being so busy.We thought the standard of food was excellent as was the service .We would stay again and wanted to say thankyou to all involved thanks Chris

We arrived at the Bath Hotel, to a warm welcome and that warmth lasted the whole of our weekend visit. Nothing was too much trouble, the staff, friendly and helpful. Our rooms were clean and comfortable. We would definitely stay at the bath Hotel again.

Thank you Darren, Bek, Maddie and the rest of the crew at the Bath Hotel for making our short stay in Lynmouth so wonderful. Cheery staff, clearly very happy in their roles and lovely facilities - great value. Excellent base for exploring the area and making the most of the sea view.

A first class experience. Staff helpful and friendly. Nothing is too much trouble for them. Room warm and clean, bedding high quality. Decor quirky and modern. A complimentary bottle of red wine and two wine glasses in room on arrival. A chiller cabinet on corridors with milk and bottled water available. Also additional tea coffee towels available. Food in restaurant very good. Breakfast choice outstanding and inventive. Good meal in adjoining pub with the most enormous steak and ale pie. Pub warm and friendly with the added bonus of a local Sea Shanty group practising on a Thursday night.
