Walked in on a Bank Holiday Monday, had a beautiful lunch in a stunning location. Staff, service and food were all amazing. Thank you! Can't wait to return and to experience the outside seating area. Views are stunning with the added bonus of seeing the wild horses strolling around. Made our day!

My favourite NF pub. We have visited a few times now the food and service is always consistent, with great veggie options too. Going to give a shout out to Eva our server, who always looks after us well (with good humour). I would recommend sizzling veggie fajita with haloumi fries.

This is a lovely atmospheric pub with a great staff team. One of the staff (I think Jen or Jenny?) was so friendly and helpful and there, it seemed, all the time. The food was amazing. We had one dinner and two breakfasts-all excellent. We had the lamb and cod -really really tasty- and because it was Easter there were some imaginative Easter-themed desserts (we had the sundae in an Easter egg shell and hot cross bun bread and butter pudding). So delicious. On the second night we ate in Lymington and really regretted not eating at the NF Inn. Our room was comfortable and everything worked and there was lots of storage space. I’m fussy about showers and ours was great. The setting is beautiful, in the heart of the forest but close to Lyndhurst. The pub gardens looked lovely but we didn’t get the chance to enjoy them sadly. Will return.

As a newly solo traveller I get a bit anxious, however I felt really safe and my room was really cosy and clean and the team so welcoming and friendly. The breakfast was really lovely, freshly cooked. Just a lovely place to stay, perfect for a visit to the New Forest. I will be returning xx

Went for lunch...lamb and ale pie and venison and red wine shephers pie. Wow! Portions were more than adequate and its was so tasty. Pub has a lovely old country ambience, very cosy. Staff are friendly and service was great. Def coming back..worth the 2 hour drive! Booking is probably recommended.

We stayed for four nights in March, The room ( No 1 ) was small but adequate although the shower was almost impossible to access with an opening of only fourteen inches. However, The rest of the amenities were very good, the food was excellent, the atmosphere was very relaxed and the staff were without exception friendly and very helpful. Proof if it were needed that good front of house can turn a good stay into a great stay. We will come again and recommend to others. Tina and John Dowdeswell Canterbury Kent.

We have stayed here before, but the rooms have been updated plus more added much to our delight. We had the biggest but they are all very well equipped, the food here never disappoints plus they have a great specials board and the atmosphere is amazing, dogs are welcome which is a bonus

We took advantage of the 3 for 2 offer - B & B. I went with my wife and two working cocker spaniels. We had a fantastic stay, our room was immaculately clean and very warm & cosy. The dogs even had their own boudoir which they loved. The public spaces were very atmospheric and again warm as toast. The breakfast we had were excellent as was the dinners we had in the evenings - proper tasty homecooked food. We think the best part of the stay though was the staff - they were all super friendly and went the extra mile to ensure our stay was relaxing and enjoyable - Bravo to you all - we will be back !!!!

Christmas Eve family meal out. I booked last minute and should have known not to go here, as most good pubs in the area were fully booked! Sat down at the table and we ordered soft drinks, except for my 19 year old son who asked what lagers they served. The waiter (apparent Manager) reeled off the lagers before then asking for his ID, but as it was for a family meal where the law states you can have an alcoholic beverage with a meal even if under 18, the waiter still demanded ID and said company policy. Can I find a copy of the policy anywhere? - no! So I’m writing this review for anyone else thinking they can go and have a nice quiet family meal without being made to feel like criminals & unwelcome. We left immediately and won’t be going back again.
