Lovely country house hotel, very nice welcoming atmosphere. Been in the same family since the 1600s! Very good evening meal in the restaurant. Good breakfast cooked to order. Staff friendly, attentive but not pushy. Very peaceful location. Upmarket but not stuffy. Would recommend for a relaxing break.

What a wonderful hotel- absolutely beautiful countryside, warm and welcoming service and great food. We had dinner (delicious British classics) and breakfast (great continental selection as well as full cooked breakfast.) Very comfortable rooms. All in all, a lovely place to stay.

Looking for a venue for our family to celebrate our Mum’s 90th birthday, we stumbled across Plumber Manor. Plumber Manor is a beautiful country Manor House set in the most idyllic setting. Our group was made up of 14, ranging from 5-90yrs old as well as 2 dogs. Each and every one of us were made to feel at home, where nothing was too much trouble. Even our dogs were very happy and well catered for! Our Mum’s birthday celebrations were made very special and we would like to thank each and every one of you for your hospitality. The food, thank you Chef, the vast wine choice, the accommodation, the staff, the attention to detail was impressive and we would all like to thank you for making our stay so special and for ensuring we left Plumber Manor with special memories. We look forward to staying with you again sometime. xx

Went for a birthday meal for my husband . Have been coming to Plumber Manor for many years, and always have a delicious meal. Sad to say very underwhelmed with our meals tonight. Scallops I had for starters had no flavour whatsoever, wondered if they were frozen. They were very small. My husband had fillet of beef with charred leeks. He couldn’t cut the leeks, they just weren’t cooked . I had Monkfish in white sauce, very under seasoned , and the potato selection of the `dauphinois and boiled new, were undercooked…nothing appeared to be seasoned. I observed another couple of tables adding seasoning to their meals also. Very disappointed indeed. The staff were their usual polite, friendly and attentive, no change there, but the food did not come up to the usual high standard.

The grounds and drive into the Manor are beautiful and the interior is quaint. All the staff are friendly, efficient and welcoming. The chef is obviously talented and his menu has a great selection of well executed dishes. Even the breakfast is excellent. The wine list is decent and reasonably priced. The bar area is nice relaxing space but as the weather was fantastic, we took advantage of the outside terrace area. The owners deserve great credit for creating such a great ambience and pushing such high standards.

This was our fifth annual Group visit to Plumber Manor and it was fully up to the standard of previous years and enjoyed by us all as it was in the years gone by. Excellent rooms and our reunion Dinner and Wines a triumph. We were looked after by helpful and attentive Staff and all this in beautiful surroundings. A thoroughly appreciated occasion.
