I found that it was hard to work out what St Eugene's is from its online presence so to give a one sentence summary: its a guesthouse situated inside a Montessori complex run by absolutely lovely Tanzanian nuns who will look after you really well (and you might meet a bishop if you're lucky). All together it's a great travelling experience to stay here and I'd strongly recommend it. The nuns are the nicest hosts you could have. There's a restaurant which has a limited but good menu of local food and breakfast is solid. The rooms are basic but very clean and the top floor ones have fantastic balconies with great sunset views. Also the best shower I have had in Tanzania by a long way.
