B&B la Bella Lucca

Check in was a nightmare. They say check in time is until 7pm. Before this time you have to call (on the telephone, which is difficult internationally, AND they don’t answer the phone!) to set up an appointment time to pick up the key (before 7pm also). It feels like the customer has to accommodate for the receptionist’s availability. For any reason if your travel is delayed, you will lose the hotel that night! We arrived into the city around 10pm, we called the reception, they did not make an effort to accommodate our situation. They said we missed the check-in time and there’s nothing more they can do. We understood it’s an B&B, we were willing to taxi to any location to pick up the keys, but that was not the option. We were lucky to have a friend in the town so we slept on their floor. I can imagine the panic for anyone who doesn’t have the options. As for the hotel, it’s built in the 1900’s very chic, clean, but it does smell musty/humid in the room. Breakfast was extremely minimal in food options, no hot foods. Location was about 1/2 mile walk to the main city walls. Overall, if you’re coming in on a flight that maybe delayed, don’t book here.

Camera ampia, arredata con gusto, pulita e con tutto l'occorrente per una vacanza. Colazione ottima, marmellata 10+. La proprietaria, Helena, gentilissima e molto disponibile, ha atteso il nostro arrivo in tarda notte.

Non ci sono piaciute la non puntualità della proprietaria al nostro arrivo (20 minuti di attesa senza nemmeno rispondere al telefono) la camera non era molto pulita,polvere,ragnatele,carte di caramelle.Il frigo dentro l'armadio era spento quindi non c'era nemmeno una bottiglia di acqua, asciugamani ospite e prodotti per l'igiene non pervenuti,la doccia sporca con all'interno bottiglia vuota di shampoo,probabilmente di clienti precedenti, la mattina a colazione mancava il caffè perché la proprietaria se lo era dimenticato, per finire, solo perché ci siamo permessi di dirle che mancava il bagnoschiuma ci ha cacciati dal b&b come delinquenti. Sono anni che viaggiamo e sinceramente un trattamento così non ci era mai capitato. Finisco col dire che comunque abbiamo pagato la notte trascorsa nel b&b. Non ci torneremo.
