The Apsara Rive Droite

Staying here at The APSARA RIVE DROITE was just wonderful. The room is spacious and the linens are very comfortable. The breakfast was just lovely since I don’t eat much. Having a coffee near by the garden and the swimming pool was so relaxing. The service is great and thank you thank the Manager - Mr PeeHan for the great hospitality. He is so kind to arrange a parking space for us. We look forward to staying at this property again in the future.

We had such a wonderful week staying at the Apsara Rive Droite. The rooms were big and very comfortable with a lovely balcony area, and the pool area was great. The staff were all so delightful, with Hann the manager being incredibly kind and helpful during our entire stay. Breakfast was delicious as well and we can't wait to come back when the river bank works are finished and the boat to the Old Town is in use again (though the hotel's bikes were a fun way to get around too!)

a lovely property with the most amazing staff especially the manager Mr Peehann. Start with the property which was lovely, comfortable and clean with decent sized rooms. The hotel prepared a breakfast each morning with eggs but local pho was available. Additionally the coffee saffron was excellent. The property has a great pool where one can relax and even the cross river boat isn't running and there was no bamboo bridge - the hotel arranged a free taxi into town every day. As mentioned the staff were excellent - Mr Peehann went above and beyond every day - so much so that he even accompanied me to a local bank when I lost my card in the ATM one night. I cannot think of a hotel with better service. As a bonus the area around the hotel is quiet but a few nice bars and place s to eat nearby if you do not fancy town. we even ate in the hotel one evening - the food was great - local lao vegetarian Would stay here again and highly recommended.

We loved our stay at Apsara. Peehan was amazing and nothing was too much trouble for him. He was one of the highlights of our 3 week holiday. The rooms are lovely. We were overlooking the pool and river. Due to the construction on the river the boat went operating but Peehan organised taxis for us whenever we needed, at his expense.

Apsara Rive Droite is located across the river from the main town. For older people, getting down to the river via rickety stairs may be an issue so they will not be able to use the cute river boat to cross river to get to the main part of town. The room was clean, quiet: a few things needed tinkering with but eventually worked (safe, warm water from shower). Mr Han, the manger is the nicest manager I've ever met. Once, when kitchen was closed, he cooked a simple dinner for me. Their breakfast was the best I had on my trip : fantastic warm bread, great mangoes. Dont get confused between this hotel and the other Apsara - that one is in the main town and although has better convenience, it was too loud for me and I changed to this one. This one is 4 stars whereas the other one is 3 stars. Christopher, the manager, used his own car to help me move and even let me drop by the ATM to get some money so that was very nice of him. There was construction going on so be aware of that.

We spent 3 nights at Apsara Rive Droite in early December 2023. The house echoes the typical Luang Prabang colonial style and is located in a very quiet village, just across the Unesco heritage city centre, on the right bank of Nam Khan River, as the name suggests!! It is, in fact, perched on the river bank and is built to make the most of the slope. The small but perfectly cured garden and the inviting pool, complete the scene. With just 9 spacious rooms, all with terrace or patio, you can be sure of a personalised, though simple, and familiar service and total relaxation! The style combines traditional Lao themes with a touch of modern French design. A really tasteful and pleasant atmosphere between colonial and design. Rooms are simple, but with all the amenities you can expect and super comfortable beds! Our River View Room also came with a large terrace and views over the river and the city centre beyond. Breakfast are simple but lovingly and freshly prepared with high quality products. The staff, guided by the lovely Mr. Han, are really nice and welcoming. Reaching the city centre is very easy: a less than 1 minute river crossing on board the Apsara Queen is both a nice and convenient experience! You'll be right in the old town where the sister property, The Apsara, is located. Don't miss the alms giving ceremony, Tak Bat, a must do experience while in Luang Prabang! And here, right in front of the hotel, it's still an authentic one, unlike the very touristy event in the city centre! In fact, you'll most probably be the only foreigners here!! In all, The Apsara Rive Droite is a perfect choice to experience wonderful Luang Prabang in a different way!!!
