Hotel Lovere Resort & Spa

Sorry, but the hotell is not a 4 star!! The hotell is in need of a maintance and a big «freshing up». The location is next to the main road, so you can not have the door open, because of heavy noise. The bathroom had no shampo, condition, lotion only one soap for all. The minibar had two bottles with water and one bottle with sparkling wine. Air condition did not work. The breakfast was poor, compared to what is at a 4 star hotell. Can not recommend this. The staff serving breakfast was the only possitive thing

After reading the reviews we were not sure what to expect as we booked a travelodeal stay, but we couldn’t rate this hotel highly enough it really was a lovely place, clean, tidy and well looked after. We had two rooms one balcony with a lake views and one with a back view (it’s not the nicest view but it’s a good room) both rooms were bright and large. Beds were huge and comfortable the bathrooms where great and the showers were very good. The location of the hotel is fantastic in the town of Lovere it’s not bang in the middle but a lovely very short stroll and you are in the square with its cafes and shops, do look round the town as it’s beautiful with stunning views over the lake. Market day Saturday was a nice bonus , we didn’t buy anything but you get to experience the buzz of it all as it’s very busy. The absolute best part of the hotel is the staff, all of them are wonderful, friendly and will go out of their way for everyone. Not all spoke a lot of English but that didn’t matter as with a bit of charades and lots of giggling things are worked out. Shout out to Tudor our waiter most nights, he was just brilliant and was able to give advice on questions we had on travelling round the area. We did travel around a lot - Venice, lake Garda, lake Como and a good look round Lake Iseo ( which was our favourite closely followed by Lake Garda ) the hotel is placed really well for exploring. The car park is tight but our little hire Jeep fitted in ok, it did seem to get much busier in the car park at the weekends. The travelodeal menu was perfect for our family with three tweens, it’s four courses of big plates of food and in all honesty it’s got a good choice of different foods allowing us to try things we might not of ordered, the desserts were so yummy !! Admittedly there was no pizzas on menu but as we were out and about we were eating pizza out so didn’t worry us. Drinks are not included so we opted to pay our tab each night which worked fine for us. Breakfast was great wide range of more continental food but we all were totally full to start our day. The restaurant gets busy at the weekends with locals it didn’t effect us and added to the atmosphere. Overall we had a wonderful stay and would definitely stay again, our holiday was made all the better by the exceptional customer service, smiling and friendliness from the staff, the hotel being on the lake front for brilliant views made it perfect for us.

Quite a good hotel in many ways although it seems we were a little unlucky with our room. Although spacious, there was no proper shower but a jaccuzi bath with a waist high shower in it, no shower curtain or screen so ti shower you had to kneel in the bath or soak the bathroom. Also could not get the jaccuzi to work and no instructions for this were there. Also the windows were so high we could only see the sky. We went with Travelsphere which included a meal on arrival, this was not particularly good. Another night bought our own meal in the very pleasant restaurant which was very good indeed, clearly Travelsphere had arranged theirs on the cheap. The hotel is in a good location right by the lake (don't be put off by the derelict building opposite) and an easy walk to the town centre where there are a few bars / restaurants etc. Staff there were very nice. All in all a good hotel, we were just a little unlucky.

Disappointing stay the room had no view except a concrete wall and bins most unpleasant also the room was very tired. On the positive side the restaurant was very good with a wide selection on the menu, and the position of the hotel was good

Very well situated hotel with exceptionally friendly staff. Slightly weird that the rooms/restaurant were in different sections and needed navigating using 2 lifts. We had a lake view room which was big, very clean and perfect. The food included in our half board Travelodeal was excellent, no complaints whatsoever. Luca whizzes around the restaurant attending to everyone’s needs, fabulous. We used the bicycles on 2 days and cycled the paths on the opposite side of the lake, great. The deal we had with Travelodeal was excellent, no complaints whatsoever. The staff are excellent here.

We stayed here on a Travelzoo/Travelodeal offer. We upgraded to a lake view room, the lake view is on the other side of the main road, however with the balcony doors shut we could not hear the traffic. The room was big and included a bed settee, also included were tea coffee making facilities, without milk. We asked at reception for some milk for the tea. Speaking to other guests they got theirs from the restaurant. The restaurant has a very good view of the lake. On the first night we were given a Travelodeal menu, which stated that the wine was included. The following nights the wine was not included. The meals varied in quality, the service was excellent apart from one night we seemed to wait ages for the next course, and the next course was served with cold vegetables. We had used a taxi transfer to get to the hotel, according to the paperwork, it was provided by the hotel. We enquired what time the pickup was, at reception only to be told “you are with Travelodeal ring them”. We went for a walk, on our return, a different receptionist was on duty, so we asked again, and she offered to find out and let us know. Later we did get a e mail from Travelodeal stating the time. On our departure our bill was presented to us. We pointed out that the wine on the first night was included as per the menu, only to be told that was not the case, as they had no agreement with Travelodeal to provide free wine. As I have previously stated the menu clearly stated WINE INCLUDED.
