Tripui Hotel

Seven of us ate in the restaurant last evening on their beautiful outdoor patio. The table was beautifully decorated, the food was amazing and the service was impeccable. It’s well worth the drive from Loreto for a special evening. If you like chile rellenos they are the best!

The setting of the hotel was awesome! We loved swimming in the pool and the rooms were nice and big. Will definitely stay here in the future! Would recommend they put bigger water bottles in the room and make sure there is enough coffee for the amount of people staying in the room.

We stayed here on our way north up the Baja. The hotel is small and has a lovely quiet comfortable feel: pretty landscaping, a nice big pool, comfy beds, good shower, plenty of parking. The onsite restaurant is an added bonus...we enjoyed an excellent dinner and nice typical Baja breakfast. The Puerto Escondido yacht harbor is a short walk, as is a scenic hiking trail (which we did not do).

September 2023 I stayed one night left next day and my cámara and extra battery been left on my room , Called them about and for cámara and nobody returned! After more the 4 call s and offer a reward !,Nothing . I will not recommend stay on the hotel

This property was stunning. Peaceful views of mountains, gardens, and sounds of birds chirping. Property dogs and cats are so sweet. Restaurant was good and margaritas were perfect after a long day of driving. The staff were very friendly and they have a security guard over night patrolling the parking. The room is spacious but outdated. The bed is comfortable, but definitely on the harder side. Bathroom could use major upgrades. Room could be spruced up with a few details like a tv, mini fridge, towels without stains.

After looking at all the 1 star reviews, I can say there are no new changes. I think the restaurant staff were very friendly and were great. There are no phones in the room so you cannot call the front desk for anything. If you walk to the front office, you will also see that no one is there either. My biggest complaint was the house keeping. Because the resterant does not open for breakfast until 8 am, house keeping failed, not only to replenish coffee so we can have at 6 am, but failed to clean the room 3 of the 4 days of our stay to include replace towels, empty trash, replenish drinking water bottles (suppose to have 2 per day). Walk in shower floor was discusting filthy. I don't think it has been cleaned since it was installed. Shower drain was slow to drain which left a soap film on the floor. If you stay here and you have any problems, good luck finding someone to help you.

Let me start with the positives. The setting was beautiful and the kitchen/restaurant staff was our saving grace. Now the negatives. The following is copied and pasted from the hotel's website: *20 beautiful rooms *A restaurant bar with a menu for the whole family *Private beach *Complimentary Internet access *Whale watching tours, kayak, diving and more *Ask for our transportation service The rooms are very basic with minimal decor, rock hard beds and no door to the bathroom. The restaurant is good, but has a very limited menu. If you are staying there more than a week, you will be repeating what you are eating. The "private beach" I never saw. The closest beach is one mile away. Internet is spotty at best. We were traveling specifically for a whale watch. When we asked the desk clerk about it, she looked at us like we were asking for information on the latest landing of space aliens. Transportation? HAH! We tried several times to call the hotel before our arrival to arrange to be picked up at the airport and then emailed them. 3 weeks later, I still have not received an email back from them. We then discovered that there are basically no transportation services and were 17 miles from the nearest town. When we were finally able to convince them once to give us a ride to Loreto, we were in a dirty cargo van that only had a couple of working seatbelts. Our driver dropped us off at the outside edge of town, where we had to walk probably 2+ miles through neighborhoods that we did not know, not speaking the native language. 2 of the people in my group had mobility issues and we had to walk very slowly. An hour or more later, we made it to the town center, too exhausted to do anything. We were able to get a taxi cab to take us back to the hotel. When my sisters requested a shuttle to take them to the airport (I left a few days prior and had a taxi), they were flatly told no. They would not take them to the airport. Thankfully, they had a young man who they hired for the week that messaged them that he would be picking them up the next morning to take them to the airport. The hotel also boasts room service and a spa. There were neither. Nor were there phones in the rooms. They also boast bilingual staff. I had to use a Google translator to speak with all staff. Not one single person spoke more than a few words of English. I do not recommend this hotel in any way, shape or form.

My friend and I booked this hotel because we could choose two double beds during the online reservation. When we arrived, we were informed that they had given our room away and only had one room left with one (small) “king” sized bed, take it or leave it. We were very disappointed with the way they handled it, clearly unconcerned and unable to find a solution, such as an extra cot or a discount. We decided that we were tired from our trip and would stay there but felt a discount or a couple of free margaritas or tacos would be appropriate, so we suggested and asked what discount they could offer. Finally they offered us a 10% discount from the price we paid - upon looking online I found a lower price for their hotel, even less than their offered 10% off discounted price. We felt insulted, but still tired we asked to see the room, hoping that it would at least be worth the price. It was nothing special, just a room with a bed up some stairs at the back of the property that overlooks a rundown area. The swimming pool was only being used to chill guests drinks, so I assume it was too cold to swim in. At that point I contacted *********** for a refund that, although the hotel said was taken care of, took longer than necessary to be processed because they didn’t reply to an email. The location of the hotel must be convenient for persons who have their boats in the harbor but I can see no other redeeming qualities. The location is remote and there is nothing special about it to warrant such a high price. We stayed at a 2 bedroom house via Airbnb near the center of Loreto for less money and enjoyed the European charm of Loreto.

A great place, but when you need to connect to the world, family, friends etc the wifi is the absolute worst I’ve ever experienced from a hotel in my life, a tweet can sometimes take 10 mins to load, and I’ve waited 40 mins to upload a simple 40 second video to Instagram. If the owners of the place paid a little more for some fast wifi (which is available as the local marina has it) this place would be 5/5 for me. Do it! “High speed internet my A”…
