Longreach Private Apartments

We took the Spirit of the Outback to Longreach and back from Brisbane and stayed here for 4 nights. The train was late in at 10.30pm, but the Tavern manages these apartments and sent their courtesy bus to pick us up and drop us to the apartments, as we had let them know we were coming on the train and it was delayed. Much appreciated service. We had the 2 bed room, travelling with another couple, and the apartment had everything you need for a comfortable stay. The complimentary 2 beers, 2 wines, and milk in the fridge is a nice touch. That said, there were a few glitches with air conditioner remotes not working, so we bought new batteries for these and the sheets on my bed were so thin there were holes in one edge. But otherwise a very comfortable place to stay. Well located to the train station and easy walk just a couple of blocks into Eagle St, which is the main street where the pubs, cafes and shops are located. Would stay there again.

Just a couple of small comments for attention, and that is the batteries in the A/C controllers were flat (we replaced one), no battery in the clock, and the toilet flush was very tight. The stay was very comfortable and clean, and would stay again.

Very comfortable two bedroom apartment which was perfect for our family! Very spacious and clean and only a short walk into town. Have great parking space at no extra cost which fit our vehicle and boat. The unit is furnished nicely with comfortable beds and great AC for those who don’t enjoy the heat.
