Hotel Meridiana

The worst hotel in London, unfriendly staff, unsanitary room, i caught bedbugs! There are much better and cheaper establishments nearby, i will never return to this establishment even if i am paid to return there, i suggest you avoid this hotel if you don't want to leave with bed bugs.

We stayed at the Meridiana for two nights. The double room we stayed in was small an clean. The small bathroom had a really good shower and a loo. It’s only a stones throw away from Kingscross Station and handy for a couple of local pubs/shops. The guy on reception was pleasant an we were able to leave our case whilst we went out. Tea an coffee facilities in the room.

I paid £360 for a single room and a room with 3 beds for my son and his friends on 30th August for just one night. My single room was so small i could just about touch both sides of the wall with my arms stretched out, not much room at all. This was not the main issue though, there was a terrible stench of sewage coming from the very tiny unclean shower with sliding door, the shower was not clean, the sides of the floor dirty as seen in the photos. I called the Manager to come to the room and he poured a liquid in the drainage part of the unit and it helped to disguise the smell but this took a while. I cannot understand why this was not done prior to me arriving in the room as it was impossible not to notice the stench as soon as the room door was opened. The headboard on the bed had a mark that looked liked from someones nose(photo added). the boys room was a lot better but still very small and my son did say the shower did not look very clean. When I am paying £360 for just one night for these two rooms (my single was £130) I expect a lot better, I could have gone to a much better hotel in the same area for less. If anyone puts good reviews on here for this hotel then they must be fake!! Please avoid going it is terrible. Outside is also a park where lots of noise is heard until the early hours with teenagers hanging around.
