Marketing does not advise may not be suitable for disabilities. Allocated a basement apartment with very steep access. Unable to offer an alternative. Room is small with a double bed against a wall, meaning access from one side only. Have to climb over partner to access in and out during the night. Bed close to draught window and noise from traffic is unacceptable. No sound proofing evident. No bed side light therfore to read main bedroom overhead light requires yo be on, not ideal if both guests not reading. Heating on control system only in main room. Utility room and bathroom have radiators that do not function or have ability to heat. No clean towels offered daily and staff not over excited when asked to provide them. Shower water pressure poor and very limited access to the toilet itself. Location is poor but good bus service in close proximity.

Honestly, i never write any reviews, but since this is such a dissapointment I decided to do so., currently still staking in this hotel. The room we got did not look anything like the picture on the website. It is situated in the basement. The room is damp and smels like basement. But the worst part was the fact that the bed is next to a window on the side of the road. Even with the window is closed it is very noisy in the room. I talked to the staff about this, they were friendly but referred to a white noise machine and earplugs in the room. There was no other room available. I am travelling with my 10 year old daughter that needs a good night of sleep. 6 nights of bad sleep in a room is not going to help your city trip. The bright sides are the location and the bed. The room is clean and the staff is friendly.

Staff were all lovely and relaxed. We loved the pin codes instead of room keys for room and building access. Room was spotless and a decent size. Able to leave our bags both before and after check in in a secure locker with our own pin. Comments about road noise are valid, but I slept right through them after a long day in London! Would definitely return.

This hotel is the worst I have ever stayed at for Traffic noise and you will hardly get any sleep. I travel all over the country staying in various hotels and B&B and so I always try to be accurate in my description. Good Points.. The hotel is around a 2 min walk from the nearest Bus stop and 15 min from Camden tube station so getting to and from the city centre is easy. Our room was in the basement and was large, warm and had a T.V. , free safe to use, tea/coffee making facilities, hairdryer, and free WI-FI. You could also restock tea bags, coffee and toilet rolls from reception. Plenty of hot water in the bathroom and free toiletries to use. Bad Points... The main issue was lack of sleep, our room was directly outside a busy crossroads and traffic noise was constant from around 6am to 3am the next morning. The double glazed windows did nothing to quieten the sounds of engines, roaring of motorbikes or noise of buses which sounded like it was actually inside the room. WE had to try and sleep with pillows over our heads to muffle it out and you did get some uninterrupted sleep of around 3hrs which was usually between 3 -6 am. I have never experienced the noise or lack of sleep like this from any hotel before. If a hotel is on a very busy main road then at least have windows that do their job and lessen the sound considerably. I understand that some noise should be expected but not as if you were actually sleeping outside!!! There are rooms on the other side from the hotel so maybe these would have been ok. The only other thing was the size of the shower, it was around 2ft square and so you couldn't turn round in it without banging your elbows and other bodily parts against the sides. This hotel would actually have been a great stay if we had been able to sleep which is the main function of a hotel room and due to this I would never return.

We stayed there twice because it was a stopover for our trip, the first time everything was incredible we were attended by a super friendly young woman the room was small but clean and comfortable, the second time terrible, the young man from the entrance terrible service, we arrived asking for early check in because our flight arrived very early we brought many suitcases we had just flew almost 12 hours and he told us “I can't give early check in because of company policies”, we asked to pay one more night and they couldn't either because our reservation started at 4pm that day, so we had to change in the lobby bathroom

Comfy bed, we were in a quite room at the back. Pretty basic but good price for location with buses frequently into city centre. Very clean. The guy on reception who checked us in was very friendly and helpful. Close to nice pub and artisan cafes.

My friend and I stayed here after going to a gig at The Forge. Great location and amazingly quiet - brilliant double glazing. The decor was gorgeous and the bed was super comfy. You can keep your luggage in a locker after checking out which was super handy. The only downer was no bedside lamp or dimmer so we were stuck with bright spotlights once we returned from our night out. Looking at the website, most rooms do have one so I’m sure it was just an oversight. I’d definitely stay again.

The hotel itself looked very nice, a bit further out than we thought but the lovely lady on the check in desk helped us find our way to where we wanted to go, it was a lovely room and a great price but it was let down by the cleaners, i was woken early in the morning by doors being slammed and a lot of banging, i looked out of my room door and saw the cleaner cleaning the room opposite, i do appreciate that these rooms need to be cleaned and the rooms are very clean but i don't understand why they have to be cleaned at 7.30 in the morning, the checkout is at 11am and you cant check in until 4pm so there is plenty of time to get them cleaned without waking up the other guests, this really let the hotel down also the shower in my room wasn't very good as the shower head didn't hold itself up as the water pressure was so low, but if it hadn't been for the early wake up call my review would have been much more positive.

Damaged curtain rail made it impossible to close the curtains fully and as such really tricky to sleep with the streetlights and car headlights, also the traffic noise was terrible all night long so we barely slept, not ideal when traveling the following day

Nice room and service. Near Camden Market and transport links. The staff is very helpful and the room is sparkling clean. There is all you need coffee, tea nice clean cotton towels and a comfortable shower/bath.

Very cute space! Right off the 29 bus but a 15 min walk to the closest Tube station. Staff was kind and accommodating. Lockers for storage were good. I'd recommend a filtered water station available in the lobby - there aren't a ton of shops nearby.

Charged $65 Australian dollars for early check in which I paid because we got off a 24 hour flight from Australia and then during the early check in the staff walked into our room while we were sleeping twice! Once because they demanded the aircon repair man only had today to fix the air one (mind you we were asleep I’m bed) and we were incredibly annoyed and denied the staff to come in after we paid for early check in. Then another staff member walked in unannounced 2 hours later to show guests a made up room. It scared the crap out of me as I was in my bed sleeping. ***, I was shocked. The room looked nothing like the photos and was dark and dingy and they catfish you by using the nicest room to lure you in with the photos.

What a cute place! super clean & cute! In a great location with access to transportation and close to Camden market & walking distance to kentishtown which has a plethora of amazing restaurants. Right up the block there is a wonderful breakfast lunch place called Portabella. Keep I mind there is no room service. Rooms come with a coffee maker and small fridge and you can replenish your toiletries, coffee, tea etc. at anytime in a cabinet in the lobby. There is someone at the from desk 24/7 that is always super helpful. AC in the room worked great too.

When I read reviews I try to be as objective as possible, I often read reviews giving a hotel a poor rating simply because of some incident that was neither a fault of the hotel or it’s staff. After working a long day in Camden myself and my two colleagues looked to check in at approximately 01.45, we work in live events so late finishes are normal for us, as is travelling extensively and checking in to lots of different hotels. Upon arrival to Sonder we were asked if we had our code, we didn’t and at this moment in time, less than 6 hours after completing check in, I’ll give the hotel the benefit of the doubt and assume this is an oversight by our travel agent. The receptionist, who was very nice, took our names, and the name of the person who made the booking, but couldn’t find us on the system. After a hour of searching the computer and phone calls to her manager she still couldn’t find us and offered me the telephone to speak to her manager. Both were very apologetic about the situation. I was left with two choices, leave or pay for a room. Given how mixed up the communication was, for example we’d give a name, the receptionist would then repeat a different but similar sounding name to her manager, i thought it best that I pay for all three rooms to resolve this as quickly as possible, it was now 3am! 25 minutes later we finally got a room “key” which was a hand written post it note with a room number and code for the door. Mine was the first room we got to and it was occupied. When I checked the emailed receipt, from the manager who had just booked us in, it had the incorrect date on it. We eventually got our rooms after more than a hour and a half!! This hotel seems to operate an overly complex approach to room allocation which requires a good level of understanding from its staff, however it would seem their staff are trained to be very nice to speak to and not much else. I literally just had a staff member wake me up to let me know my friends had left, there’s nice and then there’s no clue how hotel staff need to operate, and for these reasons I wouldn’t recommend, nor return to this place. The hotel itself is nice enough but there’s plenty of other hotels where management have a far better understanding of how to run them.
