I don’t know how I feel about this hotel. I booked it for our 6th wedding anniversary and spent £500 for two nights. After reading the reviews I was expecting to be amazed with the level service and hotel but I don’t know what I thought, the whole set up is odd. Firstly, the annoying lifts, we took 5 flights of stairs mostly because when selecting the level you want, the lifts take ages or when they come they are packed. Secondly, I told them it was our anniversary and after looking at other peoples reviews I was getting excited thinking that we would perhaps have some balloons or a message in our room but when we got there, nothing, then whilst I was in the shower there was a knock on the door and a lady said ‘happy anniversary’ and handed me a leaflet that said happy anniversary, I was just confused tbh. I can’t lie, the breakfast at the level was good and had a good range for gluten free people too but again I read loads on this ‘amazing service’ and we didn’t have one person come up to us for the two days we ate there?. When we went to see where the level area was after we came back one evening we got shouted at by staff down the corridor who said ‘excuse me, that’s closed!’ I felt like saying alright calm down I just wanted to see where it was haha. In our room we had broken bathroom tiles, the shelf in the shower was hanging off, marks on the walls, no normal tv channels - you have to connect it to your phone which took decades as the prime video wouldn’t work only Netflix. Overall, very disappointed, I thought we would be amazed at the service and quality of the hotel, we had no service and the quality is sub par, it just left us feeling a bit deflated, not what you want for celebrating a special occasion.
