Putney Hotel, BW Signature Collection

I’m currently here now! I was very nervous about coming here as I booked it before reading the reviews. I even phoned up another hotel in the area to find out availability but then decided I will check this one out. The reception was very nice, quick check in. I got to my room and was pleasantly surprised, the room is spacious and spotless. The bathroom is very clean and so is the rest of the room, the bed is comfy. There is a bit of traffic noise but that’s because it’s on a busy road.. if you don’t want to hear traffic I suggest staying in the country side and not a city. I’ve also seen some reviews stating they hear trains, and whilst that is true you can hear trains because your opposite a train station it is not loud enough to wake you up, I can only hear it if the tv is off etc. There are bars very close by, as well as convenience stores and places to eat. I would stay here again and recommend it too other people!

Me and my partner stayed here and they have never taken a deposit of £50 ! But the last time we stayed they asked for £50 deposit what my partner payed they said he would get refunded but he never did ! Every room has something broken it’s like they want ppl to be charged ! Theirs no heating or air cons

Checked into a dirty room with others peoples documents and mess that hadn’t been cleaned. Been moved into a room where the window handle is broken so the window doesn’t shut, backs onto a train station so extremely loud. I asked reception if there is another room and she said no. The manager then said if we check out now we can have a refund and we will have to find another hotel (at 9pm) otherwise we won’t be getting a refund or any sort of compensation.

The hotel is lovely, the rooms spacious and the staff are friendly and helpful. My only concerns are security and cleanliness. At times there was nobody at reception and someone could quite easily walk in and use the lift, which doesn't need to be accessed by a room pass. The carpet in my room was incredibly unclean, I noticed this in the morning, that my feet looked extremely dirty and I had a shower before I went to bed. I wore socks during the morning in the room to ensure it wasn't in my head and lo and behold they were badly dirty. The breakfast wasn't value for money as had very little option. It's such shame as it is a lovely hotel.

This is the second time I have stayed here the first was in June of this year and check in was great however we got to the room to find the balcony room we paid extra for actually did not open. Stayed again in August and got to check in to be told that the hotel had no aircon and they were unsure if and when it would be fixed. Stayed in room 201 and pulled the curtain back to find dust and many cobwebs which proved a deep clean has not been done in a long time. Can not fault the reception staff they were incredible.
