Travelodge London Docklands

Room 711, 7th floor. I arrived in the evening so didn't properly look at the room and just went to bed, leaving before the sun was up in the morning. Arriving back on day 2, I was shocked to see how disgusting the room was. I was staying alone but the carpet and floors were badly stained with sick marks, dirt everywhere, leaking under the toilet, ***** behind the toilet door, marks on the bathroom door. I was there for three nights and housekeeping didn't come in once. I ordered a food delivery and washed the desk myself before the food came - the tissues were brown when cleaning the desk. The room was also freezing cold. There is an aircon/heater but it was SO loud, like a hairdryer, so I ended up having to buy some more jumpers and socks to sleep in. I paid for WiFi for the three nights. It was OK- struggled to watch Netflix on my iPad as it kept buffering. There is basic hand-wash screwed into the wall in the bathroom, and a body wash, but I brought my own. No hairdryer or anything else, which is fine, but worth noting. Reception staff were friendly and welcoming, which is why I have given it 3* for service. Location -wise, it is 5 minutes from East India, and has great views. The staff were lovely and (I stayed alone as a single female) wrote my room number down and handed it to me, which I was grateful for as it was really busy and loads of men were there. However, the state of the room is honestly so awful, I would not stay there ever again.

I booked here for a overnight trip with a mix of business and pleasure. The lady on reception was very warm and welcoming on arrival, told me all the information I needed. The room was clean and quiet, I didn't use the restaurant so can't comment on that. The location was fantastic, literally a 5 minute walk to the east India station, so it was fantastic to get about the next morning. I would definitely stay here again next time I'm down.

A pleasant and useful find amongst out-of-centre London hotels. Very convenient for the related activity, and not far from good transport elsewhere. On the list for future stays.

The service at the restaurant for Breakfast was excellent. The manager, Sajid and Salma were exceptional and provided a pleasant breakfast experience. I will consider the hotel for any future need for accommodation. The room too is quite lovely. Thanks

Salma and Sajid were an excellent breakfast team. Friendly and attentive. Good reception team too. In fact all staff were good. Very comfortable beds. Decent shower. Great location for DLR. View from floor 16 was great. 200 character review! Why?
