One of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had. The air conditioning in my room was blowing hot air throughout the night, with a window that only opened a couple of centimetres, making the room unbearably hot and stuffy in the middle of summer. Despite alerting the front desk at 2am and waiting until 3am for someone to attempt to fix it, the issue was never resolved. I didn't sleep and felt extremely ill throughout the night and during the next day as a result, severely impacting a presentation I had to give the next day. I communicated this complaint on the night, the following day, during check out and in a follow-up a few days later, raising concerns about the faulty AC and highlighting potential health and safety risks for other guests. This is the first time I've ever had to make a formal complaint to a hotel. The front desk staff were at least sympathetic, agreed that a refund was due and said that management would be in touch to arrange this. Unfortunately, after chasing several times for a response, the hotel management’s response was dismissive. They neglected to properly address the issue, offering just £30 (later increased to £60) off a £300+ stay, which did not reflect the seriousness of the situation. After more than three months and repeatedly chasing for fair compensation, I am still waiting for a satisfactory resolution. I cannot recommend this hotel to anyone, especially given the blatant disregard for guest safety and the poor customer service I have received since my stay.
