Marlyn Lodge – City of London

Conveniently located 3 minutes from Tower Hill tube station. Grocery store half a block away. Very clean and quiet. Secure access with key fob for outside gate and main entrance. Big Bus tour bus stop 3 minutes away. Pret and Starbucks two blocks away.

It was perfect accomodation for our stay with three kids, who were 5, 7, 9 years old. Very close to two tube station (3min walk) what is very important for kids after long day around. Shop near the corner, restaurants also...Tower Hill & Tower Bridge just short walk away, less than 5min. Everyhting was clean, nice, silent in the night, comfortable bed, safe part of the city. Also new towels and room cleaning every day. We enjoyed stay and recommend it for family stay in London. Really best value for the money and kind responsive host!

We stayed six nights in this well-designed one-bedroom studio apartment in a good location in Aldgate, in the East End of London. It’s just a short walk to the Tower of London, Tower Bridge and London Bridge, and there are several bus stops and tube stations nearby. The apartment had a compact bathroom with good shower, well-equipped kitchenette with washing machine, and a combined bedroom/dining/living room area with flat screen TV. The kitchen was quite well-equipped with glassware, cutlery, crockery, pots, pans, fridge freezer, kettle, pod coffee machine, coffee plunger, electric cooktop, microwave, oven, toaster, and dishwasher. Daily housekeeping (except on Saturdays and Sundays) is a bonus! Our apartment was on the fourth floor, and it faced the street, so it was incredibly noisy at times. Even with the double-glazed windows closed, you can hear noise from the road and the sirens!! We were disappointed that Marlyn lodge would not store our luggage after checkout. We had an evening flight back to Australia, and we had to check out by 10 am so we had to use a luggage storage service to store our bags for 3-4 hours. As we had 4 bags to store, this was quite expensive. Otherwise, this is a great option for a London stay and Andrew is a very helpful and responsive host!

The building is secure with a passcode. This is a one bedroom flat and is ready for a short or long stay The kitchen is fully furnished. Two flat screen TV's, one in the living room and the second in the bedroom. The location for me was perfect. The Tower of London is about a 4-5 minute walk

We stayed at the Marlyn Lodge for 3 days while on a brief stint in London. It was very easy to get to, a 10 minute taxi ride from Liverpool Street station. We arrived at 8am and thanks to very responsive advance communication with the manager were able to get an early checkin. The location was super convenient, a 5 minute walk to Aldgate station and walking distance to Shoreditch and the Tower of London. We made use of the laundry machine in the unit and my wife, son, and I all slept comfortably in the queen bed and sofa bed.

Everything about Marlyn lodge was amazing. The beds really comfortable, nice and tasteful decoration, blackout curtains, smart tv, a kitchen with everything needed and more. There was even a Dyson humidifier that we loved. The check in and checkout was easy, Andrew super responsive and helpful, the neighborhood awesome and close to everything but also calm and peaceful. But what made this stay so unique and beyond expectations was the fact that there were toys (in particular the wooden train) for our kids to play with. After a long flight and without any toys with us, you can’t imagine the joy on my girl’s face when she discovered the toys. The baby chair was really nice and comfortable and for a kid who never sits in a baby chair, she sure used it a lot! Thank you for an amazing stay .
