Our log cabin is named 'Where the Greene Grass Grows'. If you want to get away to a cute, beautiful 3 bedroom, 2 bath log cabin on 3+ acres of absolutely gorgeous land, this is your next vacation spot! A small creek runs through the property and runs under Bethel road into the Watauga River. At the river you can go fishing, tubing or just play in the river and cool off. There is a great wood burning stove in the living room area (DO NOT USE BASEMENT STOVE). On the main floor there is a full bedroom and a full bath, along with a washer & dryer room. The kitchen is fully equipped for all your cooking needs. The dining room and living room will add to the cozy atmosphere. Upstairs there are 2 bedrooms, one with a queen bed and another with a twin bed, plus a pull out twin trundle. There is another bathroom upstairs "tub only" between the 2 bedrooms. Relax on the front porch or back deck on the rockers or swings. The back porch has a grill and the full basement can be used for game night. This cabin was built in 1985. It is only a few miles to Watauga Lake, Beech Mountain skiing and you can drive just a few minutes further to reach Grandfather Mountain, Sugar Mountain, Tubing at Hawksnest & Appalachian Ski Mountain. Boone is a great college town for Appalachian State University, plus has shopping, restaurants, movies. Valle Crucis is only about 5 miles away and is home to the Mast General Store and the famous Candy Barrel. Blowing Rock is also close by which has incredible unique shops and is home to Tweetsie Railroad. This cabin has very easy access points to the Blue Ridge Parkway and is only 30 miles away for the Nascar Races in Bristol, TN. Abundant Acres Retreat is a cozy cabin nestled in some of the most naturally developed mountains in NC. A place where you can unwind or have some of the wildest times you and your family can conjure up. There are trails just out the door and wildlife everywhere! Skiing, boarding, biking, tubing, rafting, swimming, pickle ball, golf and SO MUCH MORE! Whether you chose to chill at the cabin or head down the mountain, be ready for some great times. You won't be disappointed and you will enjoy!A couple of the things we love about our property!This area is one of the most peaceful areas we have visited. There is a lovely fire pit out back in the center of the yard. I am sure you can muster up enough sticks and wood in the area to get some embers going and relax. If you are out in the evening, keep your eyes peeled for the light bugs! I absolutely love the water passing over the rocks in the stream which travels down the length of our property line. If you walk out the back gate you can follow the stream to some of the local falls and lay on some rock and absorb the lovely atmosphere. An atmosphere filled with greenery, flowers, deer, birds and may of natures other beauties. We constantly cook and eat outside on our table for 10 overlooking the woods and the beautiful Ridgeline. Things our guests love about Beech and Banner Elk. It does not matter what time of year you are in the area, there is always something going on or something to do! The countless outdoor and indoor activities begin right out the door from hiking, mountain biking, skiing, tubing in the snow or on a nearby river. Additional salt will be available at the property if needed.Driveway Information-The upper driveway has a significant incline but offers easy access near the front door and fits two SUVs. This driveway requires AWD in winter weather. The lower driveway is flat, fits two SUVs, and requires stairs to reach the home. Vehicles with low clearance should hug the left side when using the upper driveway. For entry, there’s a convenient electronic keypad on the main level.
