Hampton Inn Litchfield

Hampton Inn Litchfield hits all the markers for a Hampton Inn-reasonably priced, clean comfortable, great people(Hannah at the front desk) and plenty of restaurants nearby(see Ariston Cafe review).

This has been my go to property when staying in Litchfield, Illinois maybe 2/3 times/month. Facility is a bit outdated. However, the loyal and faithful, on site, staff work hard to keep the property “up”. Unfortunately, a sure, but avoidable decline is evident. Ownership is letting the property slowly slip away. In addition, the property hugs I-55; not an ideal location if one is a light sleeper. Business Center computer has not worked in months. Pool and spa continue to be inoperable. . Management is all too aware. Fitness Center TV does not work. Breakfast t is nice and coffee always available. Ownership must have no incentive to maintain those extras that are the expectations of a Hilton property. Yet, Hilton Honors members do keep coming. A recent stay at the Holiday Inn Express, IHG property, across the street was wonderful. That is what this Hampton once was like.

Old and out dated. Wallpaper torn, bed creaked. Could hear people above us walking around, floor creaking. Coffee not hot and dark roast was weak. It was clean, however. Just badly in need of updating and repairs. Holiday inn next door looks to be newer.

This hotel is what you'd expect from a Hilton property. The hotel is clean, staff is friendly and knowledgeable about their job. They have coffee 24/7 and it's hot. Staff was helpful in every aspect of my stay. Will definitely go back to this hotel in the future

Hello, my name is Kimberly Grable and I am a Travel Advisor. I was in Litchfield, IL for a college baseball tournament at Blackburn College. I travel at least three events. weekends a month for either business or family. With me on this trip was my 12 yr old daughter only because my husband was at home farming. We stayed in a non-smoking, 2 Queen beds room on the 3rd floor. The room overlooked the parking lot where you can see your vehicle , is nice and one thing I look for when I enter the room. The hotel had a nice heated pool and hot tub just like the website stated, it was very clean at the pool and towels were there for you so no need to use the room towels! The lobby area was very clean and neatly decorated to make you feel welcomed. In the room there was a nice note with candy and popcorn from the front desk team Thanking us for staying. The housekeeping crew had the room Immaculate and very inviting. In the room there was a microwave, refrigerator, 32 inch TV with cable, a table with a desk chair plus a armed chair to relax in. Right by the bathroom was a full length mirror than opened to a closet with an iron, ironing board, dirty clothes bag, and hangers. The bathroom was very clean and fully stocked incase you forgot something. The beds were very comfortable and the blankets/sheets had a home like feeling. There was a pizzeria right next to it that even had a sidewalk connecting them so you could just walk. The breakfast was amazing. You had many choices, like mini waffles ( plain or blueberry), fresh scrabbled eggs, potatoes, yogurt, fresh fruit are just a few of the choices. One of the best breakfast I've had at a hotel. The staff at all times of our stay was very professional, kind and helpful. They seemed like they enjoyed their jobs and making sure each guest had a great stay!! I will certainly be staying here again!!!!!

We spent basically $200 a night for a hotel room, I expected it to be a nice place. I was disappointed with the room and wallpaper peeling off the walls and even the fixed again glued down wallpaper was peeling back up again. Unknown stains doesn’t make you feel clean. Breakfast was nice. Bed was good. Hotel needs to be updated.

Stayed here last minute. Reasonable rate. Check-in was easy. The room was nice and clean. Would recommend bringing your own pillows. The bed was hard. Conveniently located off of the interstate. Felt secure. Skip the breakfast - it wasn't memorable.

We’ve stayed at this hotel before and had a good experience but they have changed for the worse. As a Hilton honors member I tried to check in online before arriving but the only room shown was next to the elevator which is usually poor because of the elevator noise. At the hotel I was told they had other rooms and I asked for one that would be quiet. The clerk gave us one and said it was in a quiet area. When we got to the room the AC was off and it was really hot so we turned on the AC and didn’t notice street noise because it was drowned out by the AC. We went to eat supper and getting back to the hotel realized we could hear every vehicle passing by on the interstate. It was too late to try and change rooms so we stayed. When we went to sleep we realized they had flood lights outside the room, shining on the window and it was impossible to block out the light. So not only terrible street noise all night but the room had light coming in from the floodlights. I can’t imagine why they’d install lights like this unless they have had break-ins I the parking lot. In any event, this was the worst experience we’ve had at any Hilton brand hotel.

my wife and in-laws stayed at the Hampton Inn Litchfield, Illinois. right off I-55, 1st light. conveniently located with plenty of restaurants. the hampton inn was very good. super clean room with new/newer carpeting, 2 queen beds, 40" tv, microwave, refrigerator, good wifi, nicely appointed room. bathroom spacious, clean, shower/tub combo worked well. comfortable mattress with nice pillows, comforter. breakfast was better than average. scramble eggs, sausage patties, potatoes, waffle maker, fresh fruit already cut, oatmeal, good juices(o/j and apple i tried). good strong coffee, bread, muffins, yogurt. plenty to eat. there is a pool, we didnt use, water looked very clean, it is indoors. i would not hesitate to stay here again. $123/plus tax/fees is alittle high for this area, but it was worth it. ***please note*** the hampton is located very near to I-55. we could hear noise from the bigger trucks. this did not impair our sleep, but just in case your a light sleeper, you will want to consider a room on the east side of hotel, near the southend.
