Ambiente Hostel

The bed is so comfy and the hostel is so clean and modern, could have been a hotel! Staff were lovely and everyone respected the kitchen and bathroom rules meaning it stayed clean and tidy our whole stay. One slight downside was the doorbell, even though all guests are given a code to the building, our private room was right by the entrance and when people pressed the doorbell through the night we could hear it ringing. Although it didn't wake my partner and I am a light sleeper so wouldn't let that knock the rating down!

I don't understand how one place like this, with bedbugs problem in the past 2 years have such high score! Unfortunatelly before booking one room to this hostel, we were not checking the bad reviews... considering the good rating 8,3... and we realised on the 3th day the issue, my friend got allergic due to bedbugs bites and later on, I started as well to have issues. I saw with my eyes 3 bedbugs, even I informed the lady from reception and as well via e mail the manager of this hostel. Intially he offered us 50% discount from the amount paid for accomodation, later on, after we sent to him pictures with my friend's body, full of bedbugs bites, he have us fully refund. However, even with this refund, our holiday was compromised due to this bedbugs issue. I had to deal with the fact my skin was itchy, to buy anthistamine pills and anthistamine cream, to recover from the bites. As well we had to buy special spray to kill the bugs, to make sure we will not carry them with us in the luggage, to the next accomodation, in Porto... I saw negative reviews about the hostel's stuff , I would say they were friendly with us, really nice, but the bedbugs issue ruined our holiday and our mood to continue to enjoy our holiday. I asked the stuff to help us use the dryer for our clothes, to make sure we will kill possible bugs from our clothes, as they are pretty hard to get ride of them, and they die if you wash/ dry clothes at 95 degrees. The only good things about this hostel are friendly stuff and good area, 5 min by walk far away from metro station. Booking reviews can be deceiving, check the google reviews! Never coming back at this accomodation, but if you consider bedbugs issue, you can find better accomodation in Lisbon. If this hostel would not be pest infestion, would be a good value of quality-money!

Minha experiência no Ambiente Hostel foi ótima. Além do hostel estar muito bem localizado, o atendimento é extraordinário. O Ramon é incrível, super prestativo e solícito. Ele é o melhor, the best do hostel. Recomendo muito essa hospedagem, me senti em casa e super a vontade.
