Really great experience staying here. Staff were so attentive and assisted me whenever I needed it. The rooftop area has a gorgeous view, and the yellow room is a tranquil place to also work/read. I've been to over 40 countries and stayed in hundreds of hotels - Verride is def in my top ten global and I will be staying here again in the future.

We had the pleasure of staying at the Palacio and cannot recommend it more highly. The location, overlooking the Miradouro de Santa Caterina and the rooftops of Baixa is outstanding. It's at the end of a quiet street (only taxis and other authorized vehicles can pass through). The property retains it's historical character with accuracy and the owner's artwork adds personal charm. Our room was spacious, with an oversized bathroom with soaking tub, luxurious Aesop products and soft satin robes. There's a spectacular (albeit small) pool overlooking the city, a rooftop bar with a panoramic view and several dining choices, which sadly we did not enjoy. But the true jewels of this property are its employees and the warmth which they welcome you. From Joana, the hostess, to Mariana, the front desk receptionist, all made us feel at home. We even received a thank you note from our housekeeper for the tip we left - a first for us!! Prior to our trip, I had agonized over our hotel selection but I'm so happy with our final choice!

Beautiful boutique hotel in a great location. The room had stunning views over Lisbon. The hotel itself has been beautifully renovated, restoring its style. What’s stands out though is all the little extra personal touches and extras that we didn’t expect. A very memorable stay.

I stayed overnight on a Hilton Free Nights Award and there is little doubt in my mind that this was the best hotel stay I have ever had. I didn't want to leave the hotel for a minute. When we arrived, we received a tour of the premises, including the rooftop bar, the outdoor pool and the beautiful common areas. When we got to our room, we were knocked out by the view, the bed, and the complimentary baked goods, champagne and beverages. We were also told that we were entitled to a complimentary 15 minute massage, which my wife and I had scheduled for later that afternoon. I immediately said to my wife "this might be the best place I've ever stayed out" and she corrected me, saying "it definitely is." The massage was unbelievably good. My wife paid to extend it and received a very, very good massage for way less than it should have cost. While she was gone, the hotel sent a small birthday cake to our room (quick note: make sure to complete the ore-arrival questionnaire the hotel sends a day or two before arrival to inform it of any special occasions worth celebrating). I also toured the rooftop bar and saw a great view of the city from the 2nd highest vantage point in the city. We spent an hour at the rooftop pool, which was small but luxurious. The hotel's main restaurant was closed the night we visited, but the hotel's secondary restaurant was open and delicious. We slept very, very well on a large bed that may have been king-sized plus. The next morning we were treated to a five-course breakfast which included fresh-squeezed juice, cappuccino, charcuterie, breakfast breads, yogurt with fruit, an egg dish and a dessert pancake. Again, everything was excellent! I have read some of the more tepid reviews and cannot stress enough that our experience was amazing. Maybe your mileage may vary, and maybe some of your experience depends on your room (ours was 6.2 and is highly recommended), but I cannot imagine a better hotel stay!

Incredible boutique feel but luxury everywhere. Location is perfect. Breakfast (4 course) is the best I’ve ever had at a hotel. Staff all friendly and helpful. Well worth the price, will go again!

Extraordinary experience at the Verride Palacio Santa Catarina! We stay in many hotels per year, including some five star rated ones, and this stay was the best of our lives. The elegant room was impeccably clean, quiet and comfortable with a stunning view from the balcony. Our massage therapist, Annabella, gave us each the best message we have ever had. We had dinner at the hotel’s Lisbon Club 55, which was the best Portuguese food we have had. Miguel greeted us and gave a helpful and informative tour of the Palacio, which is uniquely and beautifully decorated with both modern and classic art. The five course breakfast on the deck was exquisite. Wish we could have stayed longer, but we definitely plan to return to Lisbon just to stay here again! Thanks to all the excellent staff who made our stay so memorable!

Charming hotel in a very convenient location with beautiful views. The breakfast, which was included, was the star of our stay. The food, made to order, was meticulously prepared and absolutely delicious. Each day there was a hot dish suggestion, along with a tower of homemade pastries, fresh juices and smoothies. You can also request anything you like, if the suggested menu doesn't suit you. I'm not usually much of a breakfast eater, but this breakfast was worth every bite! The views from the rooftop bar are amazing and perfect for sunset. They serve fantastic drinks and food there as well and service was prompt and friendly. Our room was very clean with the softest, most luxurious sheets I've ever slept on. Little culinary delights were regularly left in our room to surprise us. Aesop brand amenities were supplied, along with thick fuzzy slippers and robes - every amenity was top notch. The soundproofing wasn't apparent in our room - we could hear another guest shutting their door over and over, but the comfy bed helped us return to sleep. The bathroom had a high pressure shower and was beautiful, if small, but there were plenty of surfaces for toiletries, so we managed just fine. We couldn't find any climate controls in our room and it the beginning of each night was warm for sleeping, but overall the comfort, charm, friendly & helpful service, and pampering made for a very enjoyable stay. The Chiado neighborhood was quiet and we found ourselves walking over to Baixa for meals and entertainment, but I think Baixa would be loud for sleeping and we really enjoyed the walks to and from Verride Palace. This is a beautiful hotel. The staff were so welcoming and helpful. But the highlight for me was the breakfast - a multi course extravaganza with beautiful views over the rooftops of Lisbon! It goes to 12pm so you could do some sight seeing before hand, or have a leisurely lie in. Either way, give yourself some time to enjoy it, it’s worth it. The bar downstairs is also nice and has lovely cocktails.

I recently hosted a corporate event at Verride Palace. While the venue is stunning and the staff professional, our experience was far from ideal. The catering service was slow, with only two waiters for 50 guests (originally requested and paid for 75 guests), causing many to leave early. Despite following their suggestion to cancel the outdoor event space due to weather, we were still charged for it. Additionally, the Open Bar service, which was barely used, was charged for all 75 expected guests. Management was unresponsive to our concerns, making it clear that their priority was invoicing, not the event’s success. If you’re considering hosting an event here, be cautious and ensure all details are clear in advance.

The hotel was so good we didn't want to leave...we had drinks on the rooftop bar overlooking the city and river, dinner at the Michelin resturant, followed by an amazing breakfast the next day - this is truly a world-calls hotel. From the moment we arrived the staff where very accomodating, friednly and made us feel like we were being welcomed into their own home. You really can't falult this hotel!

The location on top of one of the seven hills of Lisbon is superb. It is also next to a small view point . The suites we took were nice but very expensive . Breakfast has an arrangement which doesnt work . One is supposed to go into a pantry next to a long dining table and order breakfast . There is also outdoor seating . Every morning we had business meetings and had to be at our appointments by 10 am . The very first day we reached the dining room at 8 something and the staff member in the small kitchen said she would come soon. We reminded her again after 10 minutes . It took her 20 minutes just to come for our order. After that there was preparation time . Many of the other staff were not professionally trained though most were friendly. Another person at the Reception another day insisted that all tea was decaf !

The service at the hotel was exceptional across the entire team and manager. We loved the quiet location and lovely breakfast. They truly know how to create a memorable guest experience. The location has a beautiful view from the rooftop bar and well located for exploring Lisbon.
