Lingfield Park Marriott Hotel & Country Club

We had a lovely stay and it is worth highlighting the staff who all were very friendly and service orientated. We would have written expressing our admiration for the staff if you hadn’t sent a survey

Stayed here for two nights in September 2024 as our friends were getting married locally. We enjoyed a very comfortable stay. Unfortunately our room overlooked the car park so if you’re looking for a scenic getaway make sure to specifically ask for a room overlooking the racecourse! The hotel itself is spacious, bright and clean though the carpets looked a little dated with wild 70s style funky designs! But our room had everything we needed and the bed was large and comfortable. Room service menu was a little limited but food was good. Breakfasts were great with wide range of choice including full breakfasts and continental buffet. We used the swimming pool on both days and enjoyed use of the steam room and sauna which was lovely and never very busy so at one point we had the place to ourselves! Overall our stay was very pleasant and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this hotel to others looking for a place to stay in the area.

Stayed for 2 nights while racing locally and used this as my base, lovely big hotel with all things needed. Room seemed a little dated but very pleasant and served my purposes well enough, however I will say very noisy from other rooms and people in the corridor, I was also close to the lifts, so when the drunken golfers walked past at silly hours of the night it was annoying. Spa was quite small and did get very busy in the day on the Saturday afternoon, there was not enough space for everyone. Food was good, service the same.

We two families visited this beautiful hotel last Saturday (12/10). Location is beautiful, immaculate rooms and lovely food too. But from the point of entrance none of the staff welcomed nor treated with respect. Either they have not seen any ‘brown’ people before nor have properly trained to treat them equally. From the point of receptionist they seemed forgot to smile😕. Unfortunately that was only for us. Then when we about to enter sauna/pool again reception staff commanded us to enter us our records. It was not request but a command. Luckily there was a one a very friendly staff member we met at the breakfast area on the following day . His name was Calixte Chery and he made all our kids smile ❤️despite all drama happened yesterday . Funniest thing was, when Calixte throw few jokes in my kids the tall lady staff ( guess she was a waitress) who stand next to him looked at that in disguise😡. She might have forgot that we are hotel guest. Rooms are clean, spacious as it shown in pictures. We also enjoyed the breakfast spread very much. But the staff were the worst staff team I ever met.

Dinesh was outstanding is not only arranging, but budgetting a package for a friends 60th birthday. His direct communication, patience, attention to detail with documentation was second to none. We had a great overnight stay with two rounds of golf even if the bar prices were slightly on the high side. Only downside was the food. The evening meal for all 3 courses was as bad as I have had anywhere. Prawn cocktail was very vinegary. The Pork Belly loin roll was 80% fat. Now I expect some fat as the nature of the dish. Just not that much. The rest of the main was lovely. Then, all 4 of us choose the Eton Mess for dessert. Strawberry sauce small bit of meringue and a bowl of very nice cream. And a qtr of a strawberry each. So all in all the evening meal was a 3 out of 10. The breakfast in the morning was plentiful lots of choice to full English, cereal, fruits and pastries. Drinks were available and a great choice available. I know it's hard to keep cooked food warm, which they did but the sausages were something like I'd give to 3Yr old. No meat.bacon cooked one side as obviously cooked in the oven but not turned over. It's a shame that the kitchen let the resort down. The golf course was very challenging and we all enjoyed even if we didnt all play as well as we'd like. The staff are all very helpful, the hotel was exceptionally clean and the room was very comfortable. We didn't use the gym or sauna area but they certainly looked good. I'm sure we will return and hopefully the kitchen will have been sorted

Lovely hotel, on site of race course. Had an exceptional room, lovely comfy bed and pillows. Very clean bathroom with large walk in shower. Large window with view of racecourse. Perfect stay. Would recommend 100% . Excellent breakfast too. Big variety fresh and hot. Friendly helpful staff. Will definitely return. Thankyou for perfect overnight stay.

A rather dated hotel in a prestigious area seems out of character with its surroundings. Old fashioned bedrooms, tiny bathrooms, with glorious views over the racecourse and golf course. Staff good but management and quality control need work.

We hadn't been here for literally years, but decided to treat ourselves to a couple of nights in the Corner Suite. The stay was excellent, ever member of staff, except housekeeping, were excellent and nothing was too much trouble. Reception staff were much more friendly than they used to be, I think that is what used to let the place down. The restaurant staff were all excellent and the food was delicious and it came out quickly and at the correct temperature. If I was being picky I would say have a member of the Bar staff on at lunchtime who can make Cocktails and don't rely on the breakfast staff to cover food and drink on the bar. However, the staff on there were helpful and friendly, even if neither of them could make Cocktails! Also, the bedroom furniure is looking old and 1970's ish. I used the gym which was sufficient for my needs and very clean. We will definitely return here.
