Surftides Hotel

This hotel is amazing. I have stayed here for years. HOWEVER, TRIP DOT COM needs to update what kind of room you are getting here. TRIP DOT COM does not know the specifics. In addition, check your BOOKING DATE. If you do a google search and log in thinking that you will be staying the same dates, TRIP DOT COM might push your search date to another day. Again, THIS HOTEL IS FAB. PERIOD. TRIP DOT COM needs some help :)

My wife and I booked an impromptu trip to the Oregon coast for our 35th wedding anniversary. After looking at many different options, including vrbo, condos, and motels. She landed on surftides Hotel. It is a beach side 4 story hotel with ocean view options. The beach access is right at the bottom of the stairs. The view is what you would expect, with the sounds of the ocean. The rooms are nice and clean. They are equipped with a mini fridge and microwave and keurig coffee maker. The deck is fairly large. There is an enclosed pool, hot tub, and sauna in the parking lot. It is very well kept. Open from 9am to 11pm. There is also a restaurant across the parking lot. (They are both very close). The restaurant is nice, with a bar. There is a happy hour from 3pm to 6pm. The down sides are the shower head is very high unless you're Shaquille O'Neal. The water pressure is lacking as well. Maybe because it takes so long for the water to hit your body . You have an old-school key for your room. . The floors are thin if you have someone above you. Overall, it has been a good stay. We would consider booking it again if we come back.

We used to be Chinook Winds loyal but we found Surftides and are happy we did ! The rooms are decorated so cute, have a good size fridge/freezer space.Front desk even calls the room to check that we have everything we need . Ocean front views , tucked away from the main busy road and very close to restaurants and ******. We stayed in a room with a wonderful spa tub , jets worked perfect and filled with hot water every time needed . Even being on the first floor room we felt like we had a nice patio area - not a balcony but same feel being some feet above the sand. We did use stairs to get to our room and it can be a bit mazy ( as most prob can ) but super easy to get to our lots of ways to get there and I think there is an elevator to use if needed as well. The lobby and game room are updated and decorated so nicely and they even have s’mores kits you can buy from front desk to enjoy by their out door fire pit areas. We will be back. As some other reviews said it has older aspects to its outside appearance ( paint and wear and tear on building some ) but overall a cute wonderful stay for the best deal with tub in room

Located right next to the beach our seaside room rumbled to the sound of the ocean waves; lovely. The room was old fashioned, spacious, with some furniture that needs a decent burial. Everything worked okay (fridge, tv, wifi etc). There’s a nice balcony outside the restaurant with a view of the beach…which can be accessed directly from the hotel. We got brilliant sunsets from of west facing ocean balcony. A comfortable stopover.

Paid for a premium double queen with fireplace room. Fireplace not operational. We were promised a 10% discount for this oversight; only received a 5% discount. The "premium" room had no clock, no closet, no drawers, no plates or utensils of any kind, no lock box, only one suitcase stand. Streaming TV channels (Disney, etc.) required that you log in with your home service. Front desk personnel were friendly. View was great.

It is a fun and refreshing place. Friendly and helpful staff. The hotel has been around for decades; however, thanks to good maintenance and cleanliness, it looks great. I have stayed several times at Surftides and have not been disappointed. Fun amenities for the family and roomy areas to relax. Can’t wait to go back!

I will never stay here again. The room was outdated a couple hairs on the bed, the carpet was stained bad, and the worst part of it all was there was no tv service! Yeah, I get it like the woman who checked us in said, who sits in the room and watches tv all day? I don't do that but I do have the tv on while I sleep. So that was an issue for us but where can I go on Friday afternoon? My hands were tied and I really had no options. The room had a weird smell and only 2 towels.

It is horrible！ The lack of soundproofing in this hotel is a serious concern. The noise from the room above was extremely disruptive, making it feel as though someone was walking directly over me. What’s more frustrating is that the guests upstair were moving around for over two hours, starting at 9:45 p.m. I can’t comprehend why such a small hotel room would require so much time for routine activities like washing or walking around. It genuinely sounded like they were renovating the room. While I might tolerate some noise for an hour, two hours of constant disturbance—especially starting late at night—is unacceptable.

Sadly not the hotel it once was. Stayed here 8/7-8/10/24 2 rooms: No TV service the entire time & it had been out days b4 we got there. Did not disclose this when checking in. Others said the same. No hot water until after check out time daily, new pillow top covers on the beds are like a plastic liner that makes noise when you move and are very uncomfortable. Location is great, beach access is good, but real issues with basic services and they do not care. Too many good places in Lincoln City stay here and be frustrated.
