We stayed here for a week at the end of November 2024 whilst travelling around the area, looking for a new house. It was a perfect base for us. This visit was for one night only as we've moved into our new home today! The staff remembered us and were just as helpful as before providing extra tea, sugar,milk.

The staff are all amazing and friendly which is a great start. Just the fact that they acknowledge you each time you go past is very welcoming. Room spotlessly clean and a good comfortable nights sleep. Plenty of parking and there’s three places to walk to for ‘chain fast food’ (within 50 meters) and some nice pub food less than 5 mins away. Very good value and would recommend.

Lovely staff dogs allowed always good, there is a burger king and Greggs across the road also fuel station and subway there. The rooms are lovely the bathrooms nice beds comfortable lovely bedding also TV included all round nice friendly place to go.

Very nice room well cleaned and tidy. Staff were excellent. Tv and condiments all there and ready, bathroom was all nice and clean with all toiletry’s ready and there fit when you need. The whole place was clean tidy and probably one of the best travel lodges I’ve stayed in.

Although this travelodge is in need of an upgrade it has the friendliest and most helpful staff and is kept spotlessly clean and cared for. Full marks to them Ample free parking is also a plus and very close are many eating establishments within walking distance

Car Park was very limited. Walked into the room and turned the side lights on to hear them buzzing loudly. Looked at the lights and it had cobwebs and was covered in dust. Cups were coffee stained and very limited tea and coffee. Turned the bathroom light on and it was flashing like a disco. Not enough plug sockets and the room was very cold. Turned the heating on and all night it was cold. Wouldn’t recommend

There were no pillowcases on the spare pillows. There was no hand wash in the sink dispenser. There was no shower/bath mat for the floor. I realise these things could maybe be resolved by calling at reception, but you know full well that I shouldn't have to. Also - There were no drinking glasses in the bathroom. There were no power points by the bed for phone charging. There was no lock on the bathroom door. These things are fairly fundamental and expected. In addition we found the mattress was quite hard. This may be down to personal preference of course - but I don't think so. Based on our experience I wouldn't recommend Travelodge to any of my friends. I have however already told two of our friends what a let down it was over a couple of drinks and a laugh.
