Silva Beach Hotel

Just back from a week here and it was lovely,please dont take to much notice of the negative reviews. The place is lovely,the food is spot on (im a fussy eater and i was ok),the staff do a great job,they are polite,friendly and attentive. The rooms are ok could do with updating a little but overall adequet for what you need. There is a main restaurant and 2 x speciality restaurants,we used all of them ,you had to book for the speciality 1s,you have a little wait in the main restaurant and lunch time but is no big deal. The only negative for this hotel is the sunbed towel situation,u had to get up real early to reserve a bed 6am is the norm.

There’s a really mixed set of reviews for this hotel so I wasn’t sure what to expect when we arrived, on the most part the hotel and our stay was really good, there’s just a few things that could be improved in my opinion. Rooms We stayed in the annexe across the road, room was spacious, a few people mention the size of the bathroom but I didn’t think it was a problem. The room did smell faintly of stale cigarettes on our first day but not much the hotel can do if people don’t obey the smoking rules. Beds were comfy, didn’t hear any noise from the beach club or the road. As a few people have mentioned there’s areas of the hotel that could do with a bit of TLC but it’s all clean and well presented albeit a little dated. Food We ate at the buffet lunch and dinner, also at La Strada and prime burger which you’re allowed to visit once each week stay. Food was really good, as you’d expect with all inc buffet it can get repetitive but the quality of food was always really good. We ate out for either lunch or dinner each day, there’s so many lovely restaurants around hersonissis it really would be a waste not to try some of them while you’re here. There are queues to get in the buffet restaurant at lunch, I think the hotel would benefit from a snack bar type option for food throughout the day. There are snacks in the romantic bar late afternoon but these are a very limited buffet selection. Drinks The cocktail menu could be better, there’s “Premium” cocktails you have to pay extra for. In my opinion they should just all be included (the ingredients for most could be ordered as separate drinks if you could be bothered DIYing your cocktail), just seems unnecessary to charge extra on all inclusive. Entertainment We didn’t see any of the evening entertainment so can’t comment, the guy around the pool works really hard all day getting everyone involved in the daytime activities. Staff All staff throughout the hotel have been amazing, they work so hard and are polite and can’t do enough for you. Bar staff, restaurant manager, receptionists, waitresses all a credit to the hotel. Gym/Spa Didn’t use these, would have used the gym if there had been a decent free weights section but was just cardio equipment. In summary I’d come back here, the resort is fabulous, the hotel is good, a few small changes and I’d rate it 5/5.

We’re currently staying at Silva Beach Hotel and couldn’t be happier with our experience. On arrival, we had a small issue with our room, but it was dealt with swiftly and professionally—excellent service from the very start. The food here is absolutely fantastic, with a wide variety of options to suit all tastes. Whether you're a picky eater or an adventurous one, you'll find something delicious at every meal. The staff are truly a credit to the hotel. Our housekeeper is always cheerful and smiling, brightening our day every time we see her. The bar and restaurant staff are equally impressive—attentive, friendly, and always ready to help. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and nicely decorated, offering a relaxing space to unwind. The bathrooms are a little on the tight side, but nothing that detracts too much from the overall comfort. One area that could use improvement is the availability of sunbeds—getting one can be a bit of a challenge, especially during peak times. It’s something to be aware of if you're planning to spend a lot of time by the pool or beach. A special mention to the reception staff and the manager, who are always welcoming and friendly. Their warm approach really adds to the overall experience. Despite the minor sunbed issue, we’re thoroughly enjoying our stay and would absolutely recommend Silva Beach Hotel!

Hotel was very accommodating and friendly, they let us stay in hotel even when checked out, and always helped out when needed. The food in restaurant was very tasty, and they had a good range of cuisines. Only thing I would take into account is the room tax when you get there, we didn't realise it would be so much, but it was worth it in the end! It was a great location as well, next to the beach and surrounded by lots of bars, restaurants and shops

The hotel is definitely not 4* maybe a 3* at a push. The room was dirty and the shower is absolutely tiny I’m leaving with a big bruise up my shoulder where I caught myself on the shower standing up after picking my shampoo off the floor as there are not shelves in there. We booked a garden view room but ended up looking over a road with cars a mopeds driving up and down all hours of the day and night. The food is okay however little verity and probably quite risky if you have an allergy or intolerance. The pools are nice however there is not enough sunbeds for all the guests and you are crammed in like sardines when they put extras out. There is half a tennis court that has fallen into ruin and the children’s playground has seen better days. It is not awful but definitely not worth the money they charge.
