Family owned Hotel inside the ancient city boundaries. Quaint Tea House style hotel that doesn’t quite pull it off. The owner and her staff are lovely and will do anything to help you but the rooms are very small and run down. It is the old town and they are restricted by government ordinances, but it just appears old. I think there are many better hotels around but most likely at a premium in price.

What a pleasant surprise. This small boutique hotel checked all of our boxes. Comfortable room, nice breakfast, helpful staff and to top it all off the owner spoke very good English. It is located not too deep into the alleys of the ancient town, so it is easy to walk out to the main road. The ambiance was perfect with the quiet courtyard and the breakfast/tea house providing a nice respite from the crowds and busyness of the ancient town. We would definitely book again if we were to be in Lijiang.

Staying here at a guesthouse instead of a hotel has been the best choice I’ve made. From arrival, the people of the guesthouse has been very welcoming and warm. They gave travel recommendations based on what you are planning to do in the city. Warm tea is always available at any time, from morning till night. Very recommended for friends, couples or people who are seeking for a relaxing trip.

We enjoyed our stay here, so when we returned from Shangri-la to Lijiang, we made a repeat booking at this place. The cleanliness of the place and the friendliness of the staff were the main reasons for our return. Location: This place is situated near the border of the Lijiang Ancient City. It is close to the main road (2 min walk) which makes it easy to meet your driver for airport transfer or any tour you join. It is also extremely convenient to get to the main attractions such as Mu Residence (5 min) and Zhongyi Night Market (6-8 min). You will be away from the hustle and bustle at night, and get some peace and quiet. Room: We were lucky that we got a room on the ground floor, as we had very heavy luggage. It would be very difficult to pull them up the stairs if we were on the upper floor. Every room has a different name, and shows that the owners put some thought into giving each of their guests a unique experience. The room we got was of moderate size, with a small sofa area for you to enjoy tea and snacks. There was also a kettle and four cups, and a 5-litre water dispenser that dispensed hot and cold water - I appreciated this, which was more environmentally friendly and generous than other accommodation which gave us 2 bottles of water (500ml each) each every day. The room was also equipped with heating, for the room and the floor, and they were controlled by the front desk. There was also a humidifier. The room's interior decoration was warm and cozy. Outdoor: We also enjoyed sitting outdoors, idling, gazing at the fish, watching the flowers bloom, while enjoying many cups of tea. Toilet: It was of decent size, with a shower cubicle that dispensed hot water pretty quickly. They provided us with everything so there's nothing you need to bring: shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, toothbrush, toothpaste, slippers, slippers for shower, towels for body and hair, one-time face towels, hair dryer, body lotion, soap, detergent. Service: The staff was hospitable, friendly, and the service was impeccable. We enjoyed chatting with them over many cups of tea, and rose pastries. They even recommended travel routes and restaurants to us, which were very good, and we even got discounts or freebies by telling the restaurants where we were staying. It was easy to communicate with the staff on WeChat, they responded promptly, and arranged free airport transfer for us as we stayed more than three nights. Food: Breakfast was served every morning, which included a bowl of Yunnan mixian (noodles), a steamed bun, a hard-boiled egg, corn, and some spicy preserved vegetables. Every booking came with one serving of afternoon tea, which included rose pastries and a variety of fruits. We arrived after midnight and the staff prepared some rose pastries and fruit for us, in case we would be hungry, which was very thoughtful of them!

I had a fantastic stay at this hotel! The service was excellent, and the owners were incredibly kind and helpful. They also provided me with a helpful list of sights and restaurants in the Old Town. Breakfast was also great! I definitely want to come back one day! Highly recommended :)

Stayed 4 nights and really loved the place and people. It's conveniently located, near the car pickup point and close to the attractions/food. The room is comfortable but the soundproofing could be improved. Besides, do like the 3L water dispenser, breakfast and self-service laundry. Lastly, the staff are really helpful and friendly, especially 小姚. He shared lots of insightful info about everything (Food, attractions, routes, tea, bar, and others), and he assisted in coordinating with the drivers since we do not have a local mobile number. Overall. he is a really nice and tall guy!

Friendly staff who are very welcoming. They shared alot of information on the attractions and where to go which are very valuable as we have a 5 years old. Their recommendation on the restaurant were very good. They were also flexible on the room arrangement allowing us to switch room based on our needs.

Booked 2 rooms here so this is a duplicate of my other review —- Very good service and hospitality! Liaised with the owners via WeChat and they warmly welcomed us and picked us from the car park, so we did not have to drag our luggages on the cobbled streets. It was a very short 2 minute walk to the hotel from the car park, and the hotel was at a good location to explore the other sights in Lijiang old town as well. You can enjoy tea with the owners and the stay also came with a good, hearty breakfast. There was also a nice patio Rooms were clean. Really enjoyed my stay :) Would recommend!

The hotel is located within Dayan old town, which is convenient to travel to other attractions. The room is cozy and clean. Staff are very friendly and supportive. Highly recommended for stay in Lijiang.

Everything about this place, from location to hospitality, is amazing! The homestay arranged to pick us up at an intersection and carried our luggages all the way. The sound proofing of the rooms are not that good though, so a word of caution for light sleepers. During our stay, 小李 took really good care of us, never failed to ask what we intended to do on each day, provided help and suggestionsto us on what to do. We started and ended each day chatting with him. 😊 On our check out day, we had to leave at 6.30am to Shangri-La and 小李 woke up to help us with our luggages and waited with us till our driver came! We could not thank him enough and appreciate him going all the way to help us. We had a wonderful 5-day stay and Lijiang made an impression on us. We definitely recommend anyone to stay there..

The location’s really convenient, just 3 minutes from the main road, really easy to take Didi. If you want to pick up from the train station or take the luggages from the main road, you can contact the hotel first. They’re supported and attentive if you need to find a tour or have any questions. We had to leave early in the morning, they also waked up and helped us with the luggage. Highly recommend

Beautiful venue, in the old fity, close to everything, easy to find - near city gate. Very attentive and helpful staff, helping with all demands. Tasty afternoon tea,high quality.
