My host upgraded my room for free during my stay at his hotel. He also arrange a pick up & drop off to the train station at 110yuan (roundtrip) He helped to pull my luggage in the old town. I got lost many time in the old town & he searched for me. When i was hungry, i asked for his helped to ordered halal foods from *******. He arranged the jdsm tour for me. He always checked on me through weixin because im not feeling well due to altitude sickness. He provided free o2 can before my trip to jdsm.
I have nothing to complain about my room. The views was surreal. Million thanks to mike & andy for making my trip memorable in lijiang. I will stay again at your hotel in the near future

I especially appreciated the architecture.
The location is ideal—within the ancient town but close to the exit for easy access.
The room is cosy and quiet, though there were disturbances from children playing and shouting in the corridor when I just checked in.
The staff were very helpful, sharing a location map and recommended spots to visit via WeChat upon my arrival.

We booked the room with an upper deck balcony, overlooking the ancient city. It was beautiful. We had everything we needed in the room. The hospitality of the receptionists were good - they offered bags charter services, brew us some good tea and offered many good suggestions of local eateries and to-dos. All the replies were instant and quick. We love this place very much!

A Delightful Stay in the Heart of Lijiang Ancient City
I had a wonderful experience staying at Baishui Fang Historical House, perfectly located just a short stroll from Market Square in Lijiang Ancient City. What truly made the stay unforgettable was the outstanding hospitality of Mr. Jin, who went out of his way to ensure everything was seamless. He arranged our airport pickup, assisted with navigating the maze-like cobblestone alleys to transfer our luggage, and warmly welcomed us with tea.
Mr. Jin also helped us book excursions to Tiger Leaping Gorge and Jade Dragon Snow Mountain through a trustworthy and reasonably priced tour operator. The rooms are tastefully designed in traditional Chinese style, and the beds were very comfortable. For the first three nights, we stayed in a charming room without a balcony. On the fourth night, we moved to one with a lovely balcony view overlooking the ancient city.
Overall, cleanliness was good, though there's a bit of room for improvement. One suggestion: both rooms had glass bathroom doors, which offered limited privacy. I recommended adding a curtain or frosted film, and also suggested installing a water bidet for extra convenience.
Despite these minor issues, I highly recommend Baishui Fang Historical House for its character, excellent location, and above all, the genuinely warm and attentive service. I’d be happy to stay here again.

Love the services like providing medicated foot soak, fridge storage and heating up of food. Reception has herbal tea and good recommendations by staff. room is as pic and comfortable. Location easily accessible.

The location is just inside the old town, easy to explore around l, the room is clean & tidy, equipped with air conditioner, the viewing platform outside our room offers a beautiful view of the old town. The staff is friendly & helpful especially Mr. Andy & Wang Jin, definitely will stay here again for next visit.

Booked 2 rooms for 3 nights. It was very unexpected that our room was not tidy up when we got back from outside. When asked why never clean up the room & be informed it is for room guests privacy purposes. Cleaning room only upon requesting by room guests. I'm a bit disappointed with their privacy policy. Another issue is the hotel owner should provide free shuttles for luggage transportation..not being requested only provided. I hope the owner can improve their policy to attract customers to return in the future. Anyway Andy has done his best to customers! Thank you for your help in the luggage transportation arrangement in order for us to catch our train in time in the early morning! Thank you so much!

Outdoor & exterior is interesting.
For the clear day, you can see the light of the hill in the night time. Room size is a bit too small. No place for luggage. Bedding is good. Closet and storage is not practical. Toilet is small no hooks to hang even towels. Water pressure is good and stable. The balcony on top is quite interesting but for the cold day, we didn’t use it. The hotel is just off the main shopping pedestrian a bit which is good is more privacy. Owner & Staff are good caring and  especially Jin-he is a super service mind. When we just arrived at the inn, they invited us to have tea and planning our trips. We have a bit trouble of the window cannot close it and the cold wind is keep coming to the room so they try to correct and move us to the new room. The inn needs to maintenance. Overall, I happy to be here because they take good care.
